The Telangana state government issued a G.O. on Monday night, allowing hike in the ticket prices. As per new rates, Single screen A.C. theatres in Hyderabad metro area are allowed to sell at 120 Rupees, Multiplexes are allowed at Rs. 200-300. Even for ‘Bahubali-2’ there was no ticket price hike in Telangana region, but the government allowed an extra show per day. Now, finally in view of upcoming GST tax system, government has allowed ticket price hike. However, in entire Telangana, many single screen theatres were selling tickets at Rs.100 from last Friday. It is learnt that with this near 40% hike in ticket selling price for last 4 days has been enormously helping this week’s release ‘Duvvada Jagannadham’ to earn good box-office collections in Telangana region despite mixed talk. This film has collected good amounts in Ceeded, Andhra areas too for first three days. By all means, ‘Duvvada Jagannadham’ had a perfect release timing.
