Son of Satyamurthy: What are the Lessons to be Learnt?

Summer's biggest Tollywood release Son of Satyamurthy has completed three weeks run and not even a single buyer is into the safe zone yet.
The film has admittedly done better business than the talk generated on its first day. However the buyers will still lose some money because of the astronomical prices it was sold for.
Post release Trivikram confessed that the movie is some sort of an experiment. Allu Arjun said that this film is not for the audience who watch movies with their brains!

It means the makers are fully aware of the weaknesses of the film but that didn't stop them from selling it for high prices. They could have limited the theatrical business around 45 crores range, instead they sold it for 54 crores and the movie is struggling to breakeven.
Same is the case with Gopala Gopala, which should have been sold for less than 40 crores considering its limited appeal.
Buyers will surely bet big on the films of big stars as they aren't aware of the genre. Film Makers should make sure that the movie is sold for reasonable prices to everyone so that all parties make some profits on their respective investments.
Producers simply cash in on the combination and star value without taking the genre and limitations of the movie into consideration. Finally buyers are left wounded when producers happily smile all the way to the bank.

Rakul Preet in Bunny Movie

Actress Rakul Preet Singh has become the girl in demand now. The actress who recently grabbed an opportunity to romance the likes of Ram Charan, Mahesh Babu, NTR and Nithiin in their respective films is being considered to play the leading lady in Allu Arjun's Ratham, says the buzz. It is being said that director Boyapati Srinu has approached the actress, narrated the story and received a positive nod from Rakul. Though he didn't get any confirmation about her willingness to work in the film, sources say it is just a matter of time we get an official announcement on the same. "The actress is impressed with the story line and feels that her role in the film has a lot of significance," says a source. Rakul recently wrapped up Kick 2 and has joined the sets of Ram Charan's upcoming film My Name is Raju. She will also start working for NTR's new movie and Mahesh's Brahmotsavam simultaneously.

Boyapati Srinu Denies Rumors – Says ‘It’s not Ratham’ for Bunny!

Boyapati Srinu denies rumors – Says ‘It’s not Ratham’ for Bunny!
There were reports that Boyapati Srinu and Allu Arjun’s next film title was confirmed and this movie was titled as ‘Ratham’. Boyapati Srinu has denied these rumors and said that it is not the title for Bunny’s film.
He is considering some other powerful title and he also said that ‘Ratham’ is for another movie.  Boyapati said “We haven’t zeroed on Ratham. That is for another movie.  A powerful title is fixed for Bunny’s flick and we’ll reveal that soon. No, heroine is also not finalized”.
Bunny will be seen with 8 pack abs in this movie. We also heard that Allu Arjun is trying out new hair style for this movie. Boyapati Srinu is planning to showcase Bunny in new style in this film.

Bunny's Unique Record in Nizam

Stylish Star Allu Arjun achieves a unique feat in Nizam area. His back to back films 'Race Gurram' and 'S/o Satyamurthy' breached the mark of Rs.13 crores share in Nizam. 'Race Gurram' has accumulated Rs. 17.85 crores at the end of its full run while 'S/o Satyamurthy', having collected 13+ crores share at the end of its third weekend run, still minting the money.
Directed by Trivkram 'S/o Satyamurthy' has been made as a family entertainer. Samantha, Adah Sharma and Nitya Menon have romanced with Allu Arjun in the movie. Devi Sri Prasad's music rocked the chartbusters.
Allu Arjun and Boyapati Srinu's film will go on sets soon. Boyapati has disclosed that Allu Arjun will get his hairstyle changed for the movie. He will also be seen in a muscular look. the movie has two heroines as per the story. Geetha Arts is the production house.

Rudramadevi’s New Date?

singlepost
Anushka Shetty starrer Rudramadevi is being delayed to get release. The post-production works of this film haven’t completed on supposed time. Earlier, this Gunasekhar’s directorial scheduled to release in April itself now it has moved to May, and rumors making the rounds that Rudramadevi movie will release on 22 May.
Anyhow, production unit of the film hasn’t announced any official statement regarding the change in film’s release date. Allu Arjun, Rana Daggubati, Prakash Raj, Nithya Menen and Catherine Tresa have played the pivotal roles in this Anushka starrer.

Allu Control on Bunny's Film?

Bunny has proven beyond that a full-on entertainer from him would be worth Rs 50 crores with Race Gurram. Even if the film has mixed talk, he has the stamina to pull of a minimum of Rs 40 crores and that he proved with S/O Satyamurthy.
However, it is being said that star producer Allu Arvind has given strict instructions to Boyapati Srinu who is directing Bunny’s next film to stick to tight budget.
Apparently, made it clear that he did not want to jack up production costs for his son’s film and told the crew not to go overboard and target a high figure like Rs 40 crores.
It is said that Arvind had suggested that they must consider getting a new heroine as that would cut the costs by Rs 1 crore to Rs 2 crores. Boyapati was also told to be tight-fisted when it came to casting of other actors and overall production costs.
Well, a good producer has to have such clarity. Instead many producers go overboard while making the film and then act miserly when it comes to promoting the film. We hope producers like BVSN Prasad learn a thing or two from Allu Arvind.

Bunny Sets a Milestone

Stylish Star Allu Arjun has unleashed his box office stamina with his latest outing S/O Satyamurthy. The film that opened to cinemas on April 9 has took the Tollywood box office by storm and registered a mind blocking Rs 47 cr share in its fourth week run.

The film is going steady in almost all the areas and if we consider the Malayalam version, the film's collections were registered at Rs 50cr. Directed by Trivikram Srinivas, the film also boasts of stars like Samantha, Upendra, Nithya Menen and Sneha in vital roles.

Will Boyapati Seenu Succeed with Bunny ?

Boyapati Seenu is the one director who gave back to back hits with Lion Star Nandamuri Balakrishna and now this Nandamuri director shifted his base to mega camp for making a film with stylish star Allu Arjun and there is a buzz that Boyapati is changing his style of making a film for Allu Arjun and recently announced working title “Ratham” also got mixed reviews that will the film suite bunny image or not but Boyapati assured his fans that he is carving the film without disturbing Bunny image . Lets see how far does it work will he make a film like Bhadra or will he make a film like Simha we have to wait and see.

Boyapati Srinu said that he is going to showcase Allu Arjun in a new style, new look and in a new avatar in this movie. It is also heard that Allu Arjun is trying out new hair style for this film.

S/o Satyamurthy Creates Wonder at BO

Son Of Satyamurthy Posters (2)

Call it Allu Arjun’s star power or Trivikram’s brand value, S/O Satyamurthy has done extremely well at the box office so far despite opening to bad reviews and mixed talk. The film has entered the all time 10 films list with a share of around 47 crores in eighteen days. Although the film is yet to breakeven due to the high prices it was sold for, collecting this much isn’t a mean feat at all. S/O Satyamurthy surely didn’t meet the high expectations as the content was very average for Trivikram’s standards. But it has surely caught the attention of film going public and kept on raking in moolah against all the odds. The films that have released after this didn’t show any impact at the box office that in turn has helped SoS to go further.

Negative Comments On Bunny's Title

Negative Comments On Bunny's Title

A couple of days ago, speculations are put into world that Bunny and Boyapati's upcoming flick is titled as "Ratham". Fans are however feeling uneasy with the title as it is giving them indications of movie like "Simha" and "Dammu", who have unveiled powerful heroism but had mixed result at box office.

"Ratham title best suits a revolutionary drama, probably like some powerful heroic Rayalaseema based action subjects, but won't suit a love story. After promising a love flick, what's this Ratham comedy?" a fan asked. Many cine lover felt that "Race Gurram" and "S/o Satyamurthy" have rather class and stylish touch while "Ratham" lacks it. But some say that a village backdrop movie with that title might work well. Anyway, Boyapati Sreenu has something to say about that.

Speaking with couple of close media friends, Boyapati said, "Ratham is not the title, not even the working title. We've zeroed on a fantastic title for the film, powerful and insightful, and will reveal along with Bunny's new look soon". That's a relief for people who didn't liked "Ratham" anyway.

I like Bunny's Work: Top Cinematographer

I like Allu Arjun's Work: Top Cinematographer
Recently, Allu Arjun got the opportunity to work with one of the finest cinematographers in the country, Ravi K Chandran. Apart from expressing his wish to work with the ace cameraman, He tweeted, 'The best part of shooting an ad film is that you get to work with best cinematographers! Shot with Ravi K. Chandran, my all time favourite DOP (Director of Photography)!'.

Even Ravi K. Chandran reveals he like Allu Arjun's work and even watched the actor's recent release 'S/O Satyamurthy'. He says working with Stylish Star is more like fun and he is very energetic.

Ravi K. Chandran, however, rules out any chances of doing a Telugu film at least in the near future as his dates were blocked till next year. Till date, He worked for 23 Hindi and 7 Tamil Movies. Films directed by Mani Ratnam, Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Priyadarshan have earned him lot of recognition.

singlepost
Tollywood’s stylish star  Allu Arjun’s last movie S/O Satyamurthy impressed Tollywood audiences and had decent collections at the box office. Now, he is getting ready for his next flick, to be directed by Boyapati Srinu.
According to sources, Allu Arjun will sport a a completely new hairstyle for this movie. Starting from Desamuduru (2007) to his latest movie, Bunny has always pulled  off different hairstyles, and this could be another such.
Sonarika Bharodia who is making her Tollywood debut with Naga Shourya’s Jadoogadu, is the female lead in this Allu Arjun starrer. Allu Aravind is producing this movie under Geetha Arts production. The first shooting schedule is expected to start in May.

Two Beauties Auditioned for Bunny's Flick

Two Beauties auditioned for Allu Arjun's Flick

As per reliable sources, Amyra Dastur who shot to fame with Dhanush starrer 'Anekudu' and Sonarika who is making her debut with Naga Shourya's 'Jadoogadu' have participated in the audition for Allu Arjun's movie. The two beauties have been done look test and makers will take a final call based on the results.

Reports are abuzz that 'Ratham' is the title under consideration for Allu Arjun-Boyapati Seenu's flick. Regular shooting is expected to kickstart in the first week of May 2015. Allu Aravind produces this big budget entertainer under Geetha Arts banner. More details about the crazy project will be announced by the makers officially in just few more days.

S/o Satyamurthy Enters All time Top 10

Had Trivikram taken care about the script and delivered an above average product, SoS might have been a super hit by now. It would be pretty hard for the film to breakeven from this point as the collections on week days aren’t encouraging enough. However coming this far should be commended for sure. It would have been disastrous for the buyers if the film failed to do steady business until now.

S/o Satyamurthy’s Nizam Collections

son-of-sathyamurthy
The successful combination of Trivikram Srinivas and Allu Arjun have done it yet again with their family entertainer S/OSatyamurthy. According to the latest update, the film has collected 13 crores till date in the Nizam area.

Allu Arjun and Trivikram Srinivas latest family entertainer S/o Satyamurthy has hit the bull eye. Despite mixed reviews, the film has been collecting stunning numbers in almost all areas of its release.
Allu Arjun’s emotional performance and entertaining elements have helped the movie to accumulate decent numbers all over. According to the latest update, the film has collected $1,247,936 after the completion of its third week in the US. Samantha, Adah Sharma and Nithya Menon played the female leads in this flick.

Will Satyamurthy Gain at Least that Credit ?

Will Satyamurthy gain at least that credit ?
Be it Allu Arjun's or Trivikram's craze, the Son of Satyamurthy movie earned huge openings, it managed to collect 30 crores in the first week itself. But as it is known, the craze works only for a week and the actual worth of the film can only be known from the second week. To the shock of the movie unit, the collections were dropped out very heavily.

Presently the figure is doing its rounds at 44.5 crores. But now as Dochay was also released and earned a positive response, the situations are really getting tighter now for Satyamurthy team.

Regardless of the other things, first of all, the world wide theatricals itself are valued at 56 crores, but the film not even crossed 50 crores yet, so it will really be a very tough time for all those distributors and they are going to shed up the film with the losses. The film is very nearer to gain the credit of top 10 films in terms of collections. So lets hope that the movie at least gains that credit and make mega fans have a satisfaction.

Thumping Response for S/o Satyamurthy’s Malayalam Version

allu-arjun
Sometime back, there were many rumors that Stylish star Allu Arjun, will be doing a cameo in the Bollywood flick ‘ABCD2’. The trailer of this dance based film was released recently, and Bunny revealed some interesting details about his Bollywood entry.
Allu Arjun said that he denied the Bollywood film as he was not interested to debut with a cameo in Bollywood. He further added that if he gets a right script and a full fledged role, he will surely think about signing the film. Currently, Allu Arjun is enjoying the success of his latest offering ‘S/o Satyamurthy’.

Bunny Presents A Different Story

Allu Arjun Presents A Different Story

The other day, makers of ABCD2 has shared with media that south star Allu Arjun is doing the role of Arya Chauhan in the movie. Speaking with a Telugu print media however, Stylish Star has presented a different story altogether.

"I'm not going to do any cameo roles for Bollywood. If the story is right, and everything falls in place, then I'll be doing a full pledged Hindi flick", says Allu Arjun, as per the media. Hailing Bunny's dance skills, director-choreographer Remo D'Souza approached him for a cameo role, that's very crucial in advancing film's story. If we have to believe Bunny now, he hasn't done this role. Well, what's with Bollywood makers then to publicise about him then?

Anyway, today Bunny will be meeting this enthusiastic fans from Vizag, as the "Thank You" meet of "S/o Satyamurthy" will happen today evening in the city. Needless to say, his words regarding Megastar Chiru or Pawan Kalyan in the speech will be most awaited.

Bunny Goes All Out for Kerala Market

Allu-arjun-kerala-promotins
If there is one actor in Telugu cinema who seriously passionate about his films and its promotions and tries the best to get the max out of each attempt it has to be Allu Arjun. The way the actor has been promoting his latest release is example of this.

And now we can see the same zeal towards the market in Kerala too. It is widely known that Stylish star is the most popular actor among Telugu hero’s in Kerala and keeping that in mind the actor had absolutely no hesitation in going to the state to promote Son of Satyamurthy that releases in Kerala this week. He was swarmed by the people to the mall he went expectedly and this is expected to add buzz to the April 24 release.
Will the film be a success? Can presence of known faces like Samantha, Nithya Menen and Sneha do the trick along with the Bunny factor? We will know the result by the weekend in all probability.

S/o Satyamurthy Dubbed in Malayalam: Release Date Revealed

Stylish star Allu Arjun's recent Telugu release "S/o (Son of) Satyamurthy" is now being dubbed in Malayalam. The producers have planned to release this version on 24 April in Kerala.
Allu Arjun is the most popular Tollywood actor in Kerala and has a large fan following in the state. Most of his Telugu movies were dubbed and released in Malayalam and proved to be big money spinners at the Mollywood box office.
Allu Arjun's last three Telugu releases "Julai", "Iddarammayilatho" and "Race Gurram" were released in Malayalam as "Gajapokkiri", "Romeo & Juliets" and "Lucky: The Racer". They have not only proved to be blockbuster success at box office, but also garnered a large numbers of new fans for Bunny.
Now, the makers of "S/o Satyamurthy" have planned for its grand release across the state. It is reported that the dubbing work is going on in full swing. The producers want to complete all the process soon and release it in theatres on 24 April. They have pinned high hopes on the performance of the Malayalam version at the Kerala box office.
Written and directed by Trivikram Srinivas, "S/o Satyamurthy" is a family drama film, which is all about how young man struggles to restore the name and fame of his family. The movie features Allu Arjun, Upendra, Samantha, Sneha, Adah Sharma, Nithya Menen, Rajendra Prasad, Prakash Raj, Brahmanandam and Ali in important roles.
Made on a whopping budget of ₹40+ crore, "S/o Satyamurthy" released in theatres on 9 April and has almost recovered its production cost from its theatrical run in the last 7 days. Looking at the huge response for the Telugu version, trade analysts predict that the Malayalam version will also be sure-shot success at the Kerala box office.

S/o Satyamurthy's Success Meet Cancelled

S/o Satyamurthy's Success Meet Cancelled
That's heart bursting news for mega fans. Despite critical reviews, lack of intense commercial vibrations and mixed reactions, 'S/o Satyamurthy' pierced into people with a positive talk and then pocketed nearly 37 crores in a week. That's why they have decided to celebrate the event with fans, but not it's cancelled.
Proposed 'Sucess Meet' of S/o Satyamurthy that is due to take place on April 18th at Shilpakala Vedika, Hyderabad is now cancelled. Yes, you read it right. It's cancelled. What's the reason behind this decision? Are Allu Arjun and Trivikram not interested to celebrate until the movie pushes all distributors into safe zone? Nothing like that. But, organisers shared that there is an issue with the venue and hence the cancellation. A new date and venue will be announced soon.

Fans think that if Shilpakala Vedika is not available then Novotel could be arranged, what's there in it. Already S/o Satyamurthy audio was launched at Hitex auditorium, and missing of venue doesn't look like a reason at all.

Bunny Beats All Except Pawan Kalyan!

Irrespective of mixed reviews and average public talk S/o Satyamurthy had a solid run at the Box office in its first week.
The film has crossed the first week tally of Ram Charan’s Yevadu to take the second place among the best first week earners.
Attarintiki Daredi of Pawan Kalyan still stands on top with more than ten crores share than the current top 2 opener SOS.
As per trade estimates, SOS has collected nearly 37 crores share in the first week. It still has a long way to go to breakeven due to the very high costs it was sold for.
The film did very good in Nizam and Karnataka in particular. There was huge drop in collections on Wednesday and Thursday doesn’t look rosy either.
SOS should do well during this weekend by competing against the new releases. Second weekend holds key in deciding the final range of this film.
It is likely to cross 45 crore mark but that will not be enough as the pre release theatrical business is somewhere around 54 crores!

Bunny's Kerala Stamina Under Scrutiny

Bunny's Kerala Stamina Under Scrutiny

Despite releasing to mixed reviews and average public talk even from fans, S/O Satyamurthy has been enjoying a dream run at box office all over the globe. The film cemented Allu Arjun's position as a bankable star. With the added josh from the film's phenomenal performance, Bunny will be trying his luck in Kerala next week.

We all know that Bunny enjoys a huge fan following in Kerala, thanks to his stylish looks and amazing dances. The Malayalis especially love Bunny's typical enthusiastic histrionics, which are way different from their own stars. However this time, Bunny's potential will be closely observed in Kerala with S/O Satyamurthy's Malayalam version releasing this 24th. Just to remind you, Bunny's last release Lucky-The Racer (Race Gurram) was a smash hit in Kerala.

Titled S/O Satyamurthy also in Malayalam, the film will be a true test to Bunny's crowd pulling capacity in the god's own country. This is primarily because of the film's average content and also mixed response it gained in Telugu. Will Bunny's Kerala fans show the same craze like his Telugu fans did? We will find an answer to this in a week's  time.
