Can Mahesh Repeat Bunny's Magic?

After showing much promise with colorful trailers and a huge star cast, Mahesh Babu's Brahmotsavam released yesterday and fell flat on the silver screens with lackluster narration and confusing screenplay and characterizations. Even critics and movie lovers gave a collective thumbs down to the film.

In this scenario, the film's collections naturally took a solid beating on its opening day and registered dismal figures allover including overseas. Interestingly, Brahmotsavam's day one fate is much similar to Allu Arjun's Sarrainodu, which also released to scathing reviews and poor word of mouth on its day one.

However, Sarrainodu went on to collect more than 60 crores and became the higher grossing film in Bunny's career. Undoubtedly, the mass factor in Sarrainodu worked wonders for the film. Now, can Mahesh's Brahmotsavam, a class family entertainer, repeat the same magic as Bunny did with Sarrainodu?

On the other hand, Mahesh's history of disasters like Aagadu and 1 Nenokkadine reiterate that it is highly difficult for Brahmotsavam to sustain at the box-office. With nearly 85 crores at stake, we will have to wait until the first weekend to see if Brahmotsavam will weave any magic.
