Sardaar Gabbar Singh was released on April 8, which happens to be Allu Arjun’s birthday. The film ended up as a disaster at the box office.
Now Mahesh Babu’s Brahmotsavam released on NTR’s birthday i.e. May 20 and is heading towards a big flop. Usually heroes tend to release movies, teasers, first look posters etc for their birthdays only.
It is a sheer coincidence that these films were released on someone else’s birthdays and flopped. Now this will turn out to be a new negative sentiment for Tollywood.
Telugu cinema industry is very superstitious when it comes to such sentiments. Henceforth we may not see stars releasing their films on some other star’s birthday.
With Brahmotsavam failing to live to the expectations, other films that are in waiting are gearing up for release in the next couple of weeks.
Vishal’s Rayudu will release on coming Friday and Trivikram’s A Aa is gearing up for June 2nd release.
