Finally, the wait is over! Ram Charan's most sought after film Yevadu has hit the screens during the lucrative Pongal season amidst much fanfare. The film which was supposed to release in the second half of 2013 was pushed over owing to various reasons.
Though the release has been delayed by a few months, fans of Ram Charan and movie enthusiasts have been eagerly waiting to catch a glimpse of the actor in this stylish action entertainer.
Producer of the film Dil Raju has been very confident about the film and now his words have come true with the film emerging as the first biggest hit of the year 2014.
The film also features Allu Arjun and Kajal Aggarwal in crucial cameos and their performance leaves a long impact. The film is high on technical values and has all the ingredients to woo the audience.
Although the plot is a tried and tested one, the treatment meted out by director Vamsi Paidipally makes Yevadu an interesting watch. The director laced a few interesting twists with fair amount of commercial elements.
Devi Sri Prasad's songs and re-recording is also an added asset to the film. Ram Charan has come up with an intense performance and has showed a lot of variations. His dance movements in Freedom and Ninnu Chudakunte will be relished by his fans.
His acting skills are superlative to what one got to see of him in Racha and Naayak. His baritone and on-screen aggression are a delight to watch.
'Charan is evolving as an actor with every film. His performance is remarkable. He emoted well and danced with a lot of grace. Yevadu is a top-class technical film that is made with a gripping storyline and racy screenplay,' says Srikanth, a software engineer who watched the film a day before its release in a special show.
During the launch of the film, Ram Charan stated that Yevadu wouldn't have happened if Allu Arjun didn't agree to come on board. This is absolutely true and his cameo is effective and impressive.
'Allu Arjun's brief role is an asset to the film. He delivered a notable performance and communicated with his eyes. It's a treat to watch Charan and Arjun on screen together in this film. We are happy that the film is poised to be a block buster. What more can we expect for this Pongal?' questions Raghu, president of Mighty Mega Power Fans association, Hyderabad.
Producer of the film Dil Raju is very happy with the reception the film is getting at the box-office. 'Yevadu is a very prestigious film for our banner. The movie is a perfect recipe for Pongal.
Audience and fans of Ram Charan and Allu Arjun are enjoying the film. We have been getting very good reports from overseas and domestic circuits. As I said earlier, the film will become a milestone in Charan's career,' says a visibly pleased Dil Raju.
Yevadu is pitted against Mahesh Babu's 1-Nenokkadine. It seems director Vamsi Paidipally is unperturbed about the film having a simultaneous release with the Mahesh Babu starrer.
He says, 'We don't feel competition as Pongal season can accommodate two big films. Both the films belong to two different genres and if you watch the trailers, you can figure that out.
Once again our audience proved that they will encourage new attempts and I am thankful to them for blessing us with a big hit like Yevadu.' Despite the delay and troubled times, the trust and bonding shared between Ram Charan, Vamsi Paidipally and Dil Raju has paid off and Yevadu seems to be a perfect entertainer for this Sankranti.
