Badrinath Movie Review

INTRO:

Stylish Star ‘Allu Arjun’ after debacle of experimental movie ‘Vedam’ came up with high budgeted commercial venture ‘Badrinaath’, in the direction of VV Vinayak, written by Chinni Krishna in the backdrop of Bardrinaath temple famous sacred shrine for Hindus.
IN AND OUT:
Badri (Allu Arjun) capable safe guard, trained under Bheeshma Narayana(Prakash Raj) in Takshashila, gets appointed to safe guard Badrinaath Temple.
Alakananda (Tamanna) is on a visit to Badrinaath, along with her grand father. She is an atheist by choice with accidental death of her parents. Badri saves her grand father’s life with the powers of Badri Naryana, which she can’t believe is true. Now it is Badri’s duty to turn her as theist during which she falls in love with Badri, where as her feelings are unaware to Badri. She comes to know that Bheeshma Narayana wants badri to be his successor for Takshashila to which Badri’s parents agree.
Badrinath Movie Review
Alakanada is being chased by Sarkar (Kelly Dorjee) to take avenge for the insult, she did in the past to Sarkar’s wife. Apparently Sarkar’s wife(Ashwini Kalsekar) is Alakananda’s maternal aunty.
Whether Alakananda escapes from Sarkar and family and whether she wins Badrinaath from Bheeshma Narayana forms rest of the story.
Allu Arjun strictly did justice to his character and no where he is over acted beyond character limits. Tamanna, whose entry actually brings turns into movie performed well and she danced well along with Allu Arjun in songs. Action Sequences composed by Peter Heins are OK and train episode fight is worth watching. Editing could have been better, because of which most of action sequences lacks the impact they needed. Music by MM Keeravani is good. Chinni Krishna story lacks originality except new location Badrinaath. Director VV Vinayak tried his best to do justice for his job, but narration could have been better. Art work by Anand Sai is of top notch and too cinematography by Ravi Varman.
Badrinath Movie Review
Dialogues lack character’s presence. How can a sincere, dedicated Safe Guard for God Badrinaath, use word like ‘Pichcha’ to his fellow character.
Though there is little scope for comedy in this type of movie, comedy episode (Spoof of Indra ‘Meedi Tenaali, Maadi Tenaali’ ) by Brahmanandam, MS Narayana and Krishna Bhagawan is not upto mark.
FINAL TOUCH:
Badrinaath starts with huge action sequence where little badri along with co-students trying to showcase their strengths and capabilities to their guru and then gets your attention in ‘Om Kareshwari’ song. From here narration lacks grip.
Badrinath Movie Review
Though interval episode establishes the story but is not catchy. Bunny’s dance movements in ‘Iktaara Iktaara’ song are simply superb and also train episode action sequence and of course climax is expected. On the whole Badrinaath fails to live up to expectations, few episodes of this flick will get attention of masses.
