Badrinath is the Biggest Opener of 2011

Despite of the poor reviews earned from critics, Badrinath resulted as the biggest openers of (1st weekend) 2011 so far. The action epic drama has collected a whopping sum of 7.52 crores on the first day as per Geetha Arts and the weekend collections were too fabulous.

Shakti and Teenmaar also didn’t register such high collections in its first weekend says the trade pundits. Badrinath has raised Allu Arjun’s stardom. Though Allu Arjun has done 9 films prior to this, he was not considered as a top star. But Badrinath has proved that Allu Arjun can pull off large crowds and register superb openings at the Box-Office.

However, the film has been earning a poor talk for its story and weak screenplay though the Stylish Star has put in his efforts. It would be difficult for the film in the long run to recover is investment considering its huge budget.
