Director Prashanth Neel’s Kannada movie "Ugramm" starring Srimurali and Haripriya which landed on screens on February 21 is still running in packed houses. Ugramm has won rave reviews not only from audiences but also from critics, who have praised it to the skies for its perfect presentation. This Sandalwood movie which had drawn movie goers to theatres has kept the audiences hooked to it for its lively script and brilliant narration.
‘Ugramm’, distributed by actor Darshan's firm 'Thoogudeepa Distributors’, is reported to have collected Rs 5.5 crore in the first week at the box-office.
Mallikarjun of Thoogudeepa Distributors had disclosed the box-office collections at the recent success meet for Ugramm.
Speaking at the success event, Mallikarjun stated, “ Ugramm is the first other banner movie to be distributed under Thoogudeepa Distributors. We are very happy to see the movie doing a wonderful business at Box Office. Ugramm has done record amount of collections in all the 142 theatres, where the movie was released."
Actor Sri Murali who is still promoting his latest release ‘Ugramm’ is on cloud nine theses days after the success of his film.

Dhanush and Vijay want to buy the remake rights of Ugramm
Now after the success of Sandalwood's recent release ‘Ugramm’, many south Indian actors are vying to get its remake rights and it is learnt that actor Dhanush is showing keen interest to remake it in Hindi and Tamil. The Raanjhanaa star wants to essay the lead role and is expected to produce it under his home banner, Wunderbar productions.
Apart from Dhanush, even Vijay has liked the movie and wants to do the remake of ‘Ugramm’. The ‘Jilla’ star, who is currently shooting for AR Murugadoss's directorial film, is waiting to bag the remake rights of ‘Ugramm’.
Even Tollywood stars Junior NTR and Allu Arjun desperately want to buy the remake rights of the film. The actors are having a huge tussle between them to bag the remake rights first.
