Allu Arjun's latest movie Julayi has received a wonderful response at the USA Box Office and trade analyst say that it is best opener of the actor in the country. Another interesting fact about the film is that it has broken the new first weekend collection record by SS Rajamouli's recent Blockbuster flick Eega. It has set a new bench mark for the upcoming Telugu releases in the country.
SS Rajamouli's Eega, which was released on Thursday, July 5, had registered a wonderful opening in the country. The movie had collected Rs 3 crores nett ($5,38,996) at the USA Box Office in its four day extended first weekend. The breakup of its first weekend was Rs 23.51 lakhs ($42,409) on Tue, Rs 86.72 lakhs ($156,408) on Fri, Rs 79.99 lakhs ($144,260) on Sat and Rs 1.08 crore ($195,919) on Sun.
Whereas, Allu Arjun's Julayi also registered an earth-shattering opening at the USA Box Office on Wednesday. The movie has collected Rs 3.70 crore ($668,027) in its five day extended first weekend. The breakup of its first weekend collection is Rs 78.97 lakhs ($147,233) on Wed and Thu, Rs 76.86 lakhs ($138,792) on Fri, Rs 1.03 crore ($187,001) on Sat and approximately Rs 1.07 crore ($195,001) on Sun.
However, so far, Sudeep-Samantha starrer Eega has been the high grosser Telugu movie at the USA Box Office with its 31-day collection Rs 5.98 crores ($10,80,733). Now, trade experts feel that the Trivikram Srinivas directed movie Julayi will beat all time collection record of Eega in 15 to 20 days.
