Race Gurram will be Bunny's Biggest Hit

Industry calls him a stylish director and his hero is reckoned as the style star. Naturally, their combination ups the expectations and the fans want nothing short of a top-class product with oodles of entertainment from them. And their latest film provides all that and more assures Surender Reddy.

Race Gurram is set for release today. The audio has topped the charts and the teaser has generated enough curiosity among Bunny’s fans. Though the teaser hints at a fight between two brothers, Surender Reddy says the film is not about their fight, but is a Tom and Jerry kind of entertainer which has been laced with high doses of action and entertainment.

While he does not claim the film is one-of-its-kind, Surender Reddy says it will be the best film in Bunny’s career till date.

“I cannot say I have shown him in a different light. But I have used 100 per cent of his energy levels and that makes all the difference. In fact, Bunny comes up with a lot of suggestions himself and I have used some of his inputs in the film,” he confesses.

Surender Reddy says unlike his earlier films which were mostly action flicks and Kick which was an out and out entertainer, Race Gurram is a perfect balance of action and entertainment with liberal doses of family sentiment. However, he immediately clarifies that the idea was to reach out to all types of audience and make sure they thoroughly enjoyed his ‘summer entertainer’.

In the interview, he talks of Shruti Haasan’s role, about remaking his favourite film Oosaravelli in a different language, giving importance to heroine’s characters in his films, working with Kalyan Ram and NTR Arts Banner, doing films with Mahesh and NTR in future, Kick 2 and more…
