Director Surender Reddy's recent release Race Gurram has continued to rock the viewers in America in the second week too. The Allu Arjun and Shruti Hassan starrer has once again made superb collection at the USA Box Office in the second weekend and landed in the second place, while Hindi film 2 States topped the business chart. Having crossed $ 1 million mark in nine days, the film has also beaten the life-time collection record of Junior NTR's Baadshah. Released in 66 screens in this foreign market on April 10, Race Gurram had raked in Rs 5.93 crores nett ($ 982,155) at the USA Box Office in its eight-day-extended first week. With no new Telugu release in the country, the Allu Arjun starrer once again kept the bells ringing at ticket counters there. When compared to its first Friday business, the movie witnessed more than 60% drop on its second Friday. On its ninth day (second Friday), Race Gurram surpassed $ 1 million mark at the USA Box Office. Bollywood trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted, "Telugu film #RaceGurram is UNSTOPPABLE in USA. Week 2: Fri $ 82,062. Total: $ 1,064,217 [Rs 6.42 cr]. Reported screens. Fantastic!" Race Gurram witnessed growth in its business on the following days. In its second weekend, this action comedy entertainer has raked in Rs 1.49 crores ($ 245,726) from 53 screens at the USA Box Office, taking its 11 day American collection to Rs 7.42 crores ($ 1,227,881). The movie has beaten the life-time record of Junior NTR's Baadshah, which had collected Rs 7.02 crores ($ 1,281,249) in six weeks.
