Last Friday released historical Tamil & Telugu movie Rudhramadevi has already completed it first week journey at box office with commendable performance. The movie has received very positive reviews from critics, which boosted up the excitement level of audience & as a result movie collected excellent total in its first week from Andhra Pradesh & Telangana. It features Anushka Shetty, Rana Daggubati & Allu Arjun in lead roles. All the stars have high fan following among south Indian audience & the movie has got complete support of their fans.
The movie has been released on around 1000 Telugu screens in Andhra Pradesh & Telangana regions. There it has witnessed overwhelmed response from audience and started with 6th highest opening of the year after Baahubali, Srimanthudu, Temper, S/o Satyamurthy & Gopala Gopala. The hype it had earlier among audience was very high but due to getting postponed several times, it has been melted down. But still, movie has grossed decent business figures through out its first week.
In the first week, Rudhramadevi (Telugu) has grossed the total amount of 33.64 crores from AP/T screens that includes 25.10 crores (Fri 11.70cr, Sat 6.35cr, Sun 7.05cr) of weekend & 8.54 crores (Mon 3cr, Tue 2.30cr, Wed 1.70cr, Thu 1.54cr) of weekdays excluding distribution shares. The total opening week total comprised with 19.62 crores from Telangana & 14.02 crores from Andhra Pradesh. Including shares, it has been minted over 57 crores at worldwide box office in one week.
Now the movie has been entered in the second week & facing heavy competition due to new Telugu release Bruce Lee The Fighter of star Ram Charan. On its 8th day, it has recorded very less occupancy & done the business of only 1.40 crore* in AP/T regions.
