We have seen many Tamil films getting rave reviews for their Telugu dubbed versions. They even manage to get a response equal to the straight Telugu movies. But, nowadays it is the turn of our heroes to carve out a good market in Tamil.
Interestingly, the Tamil audience is receiving our films quite well provided it is rich in content and production quality.
A quality film with good promotion will be liked by anyone. This was proved recently with Baahubali, which created a storm in Kollywood. Even Magadheera was dubbed in Tamil and was a big hit.
Heroes like Mahesh and Allu Arjun already have a good market in Tamil Nadu and Mahesh’s upcoming film Srimanthudu is simultaneously releasing in Tamil as ‘Selvandhan.’ Now our Tollywood heros are slowly beginning to give tough competition to Tamil star heroes.
