Director Gunasekhar is always known for his lavish films with interesting backgrounds. But this time with Rudramadevi, he has pushed the bar high and spent nearly 75 crores to make the film a visual feast for film lovers. Rudramadevi is based on the life and legend of Kakatiya warrior princess, Rudramadevi. The director organised a press meet today to announce the film's official release date.
Gunasekhar confirmed that Rudramadevi will release on September 4th. The director further said that the post-production activities are going on at the moment and the technicians are giving their best to bring out a high-quality output. Gunasekhar also said that Rudramadevi is a result of three years of hard work of all the cast and crew members. After thanking Anushka and Rana, the film's leads, Gunasekhar also lauded Allu Arjun's performance as Gona Ganna Reddy and said that Bunny's performance is remarkable in the film.
Rudramadevi was supposed to release early summer. However, the film was stuck with financial crunch and even the VFX and EDS 3D conversion took a lot of time to be completed. Some of the VFX works are still going on and Gunasekhar himself is overseeing it personally. With Baahubali already setting a solid platform for historic films with war backdrops, it is advantage Rudramadevi now.
