Looking at the trend of historical dramas creating huge buzz in India right now, director-producer Gunasekhar senses that there is huge market for his historical drama 'Rudramadevi' outside Telugu states too.
His 3D historical film Rudramadevi tells the life story of warrior queen of Kakatiya dynasty. Her story is known to the most of Indians through history lessons.
Since the movie also stars Rana, who gained a lot of popularity after the release of Baahubali' and Anushka in the titular character, Gunasekhar feels the movie will have pan India appeal and is looking for wide release nationwide.
Rudramadevi is shot in Telugu and Tamil languages simultaneously with huge cast and high budget. The movie also boasts of high end CG work with international technicians working on it.
Rudramadevi was to release long back but it got delayed owing to financial problems. But Gunasekhar is confident now as he sees the movie will appeal to all sections in India and can recover the cost easily if it is released in big way.
