Bunny widened his base and managed to impress in Tamil and Malayalam, but he failed to charm his audiences in the US. His latest film Iddarammayilatho directed by Puri Jagannath has failed to draw huge audiences in USA.
According to sources Iddarammayilatho collected Thursday (Premiers) $ 89,914, Friday $ 82,008, Saturday $ 71,954. Total: $ 243,876 [Rs 1.38 cr].
Apparently, it got a collection of $30,000 on Sunday, which clearly shows that Bunny has lost his midas touch. It is being said that the exhibitors are incurring huge losses in the US.
While the US audience loved Trivikram Srinivas’ Julayi, they surely did not fall for the lavishness of Puri’s Iddarammayilatho. Not having an entertaining theme is working against the film, feel the exhibitors.
After Nayak, this is the second dud for the overseas exhibitors in 2013. However, Seetammavakitlo Sirimalle Chettu, Mirchi, Baadshah and Gunde Jaari Gallanthayyindi got in good profits for the exhibitors this year.
