Five years ago Puri Jagannath revealed that he got the thought of Iddarammayilatho storyline. Puri got the opportunity to meet Mahesh quite often. The director once even narrated the storyline of Iddarammayilatho to the Mahesh. But has a schedule in Businessman, and made it clear he is making the film with the leading role as Allu Arjun. On hearing the storyline Mahesh immediately reacted it's a superb choice and asked him to go ahead.
