The role of Gona Ganna Reddy in Gunasekhar directed and produced historical drama film Rudhramadevi is very special for Allu Arjun. In fact, Bunny got more recognition than any other actor in the film, though it was an extended cameo.
The dialogue 'Gammunundavayya' in typical Telangana slang in the film has become more popular. Apparently, Bunny did some research work to portray the powerful role and speak the dialogues precisely.
Allu Arjun revealed that, it was Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao who inspired him to utter the dialogue of 'Gammunundavayya' in Rudhramadevi. "I used to watch KCR's speeches post state bifurcation. He regularly used to speak the word 'Gammunundavayya'. I thought using the word for Rudhramadevi will be useful for the film. Luckily, everyone appreciated it."
Allu Arjun also revealed that, he didn't charge a penny for the film, since Gunasekhar with whom he worked for the film Varudu was going through tough times with lack of funds to wrap up the film. "Rudhramadevi is one of the most memorable films in my career. I will never ever forget the role of Gona Ganna Reddy," said Bunny.
Meanwhile, Allu Arjun's latest film Sarainodu is scheduled to release on April 22nd. The actor says that, he did the film to fulfill his wish of doing a full length mass entertainer.
