When Allu Arjun’s Sarrainodu released last week, critics and fans gave a collective thumbs down to the film and many thought that the film will end up as a colossal flop. However, summer holidays and lack of no big releases came to Sarrainodu’s rescue and the film is minting decent shares in B, C centres. Yesterday, Sarrainodu touched the 10 crore share mark in Nizam and with this, Bunny has set a rare record of bagging six straight 10 crore share movies in Nizam. Bunny’s record feat began with Trivikram’s Julayi and he followed it up with films like Iddarammayilatho, Race Gurram, S/O Satyamurthy, Rudhramadevi and Sarrainodu.
However, Sarrainodu still has a long way to go before it becomes a profitable venture for Allu Aravind, who distributed the film on his own in Nizam and several other territories. The film has so far collected 10.57 crores in Nizam and it should collect at least 2.5 crore more for its breakeven. Can Sarrainodu pull it off from here on?
