Bunny Stars in Anti-Dowry TVC

Stylish Star Allu Arjun is starring in a unique campaign titled ‘Kotthavi Kaavaalante Paathavi Vadulukovaali’ (Let the old make way for the new). The Television Commercial (TVC) for online classifieds portal OLX.in hit the screens last weekend. Conceived by executive creative director Lowe Lintas, the TVC features Allu Arjun who lends a witty tone to a rather tense scenario. 
It shows the family of a boy that has come with a marriage proposal to the girl’s family. But then the boy’s father throws a hint that he wants a bigger car. Allu, playing the role of the girl’s brother, borrows the father’s phone, clicks pictures of the old car and puts them up on OLX. He gets instant offers and quirkily tells the boy’s father: “Nayi ke liye puraani badalni padegi… 
Soch! (to get the new, you must first get rid of the old)” The mix of homely slapstick and homegrown wisdom makes the TVC very relatable and promises to strike a chord with the viewers. “The film helped us deliver the brand message with a subtle anti-dowry message, a practice still quite prevalent in the country. 


Allu is a role model for people in AP and Telangana and we believe that this message by OLX will be quite well received,” said Lowe Lintas.The ads have also been launched in Tamil, Kannada and Hindi which features actors Dhanush, Sudeep and stand-up comedian Kapil Sharma respectively.
