Gunasekhar's ambitious period war drama, Rudramadevi, is fast finishing its post-production work and the film is expected to release in the last week of May or early June. The producer cum director is leaving no stone unturned to make the film a memorable affair and is said to be spending a bomb on visual effects.
As per the latest update, Rudramadevi will be releasing in Malayalam as Rudra The Warrior. The film features a long list of well known actors like Anushka, Nitya Menen, Allu Arjun, Rana, Prakash Raja etc, all of them who are very popular among the Malayalam audiences. While Nitya is a Malayali herself, Allu Arjun's craze among his Kerala fans is phenomenal.
This is definitely a big plus for Gunasekhar and as per the buzz, he struck a lucrative deal with Sajith Kumar of Pallavi Films, one of the leading distributors in Kerala. Pallavi Films earlier released Mahesh Babu's 1 Nenokkadine in Malayalam. We will have to wait until the film's release to see if Gunasekhar can create magic among the Malayali audiences.
