Rudramadevi to Enter Rs 60 Crore Club?

Rudramadevi is all set to enter the Rs 60 crore club? Or so say industry analysts. There was a time when only mass commercial entertainers entered such a bracket and this is a huge achievement for both Gunasekhar and Anushka who plays the main lead.

Goes without saying, the film is a historical subject and a woman-oriented one at that. So, for a movie to make such money is indeed no mean feat.

Also the film has already made Rs 45 crores. And the collections are still steady. Since most of the theatres that the film is running in belong to the buyers, there is barely any chances of it getting removed in a hurry.

The satellite rights of the film are to be bagged as yet and talk in the industry is that the makers have been quoting Rs 9 crores. So if Gunasekhar manages to sell them for Rs 10 crores, then the film will make Rs 55 crores.

Since there is no competition for the film, the film might pull  through and manage another Rs 5 crores. This means that the film will breach the Rs 60 crores mark.

For now, Gunasekhar had got tax exemption in Nizam. And that helped him in getting the profits. Now, if he manages to get tax exemption in Andhra too, the film will surely make more money.

Wonder if Gunsekhar has thought on those lines?
