The much hyped Tax Exemption benefit for Rudhramadevi in Nizam did not benefit the movie yet. This is due to a clause in the G.O. released by the Telangana government. The G.O. clearly stated that the Tax Exemption is applicable only when the ticket prices of the movie are reduced to 75% of what they are.
No theater in Nizam ran Rudhramadevi for reduced prices and so there is no Tax Exemption benefit for the movie yet. The Tax Exemption benefit is in place for one year after the movie release which means the makers can reduce the ticket prices in the second and third weeks to increase the footfalls as well as the Tax Exemption benefit.
Rudhramadevi which began very strong at the box office in the first weekend, slowed down significantly in the week days. Now that Ram Charan's Bruce Lee is releasing this Friday, the movie not only loses good number of theaters to the movie will also have decreased footfalls in its second week.
The movie is likely to collect about 30 Crore share Worldwide in the first week of its release which means the movie may have to collect more than 25 Crore in its remaining run to become a safe venture which looks highly unlikely now. We will have to see what is in store for Guna as a producer!
