2016 Lucky for Bunny, Bad for Pawan

2016 Lucky For Bunny, Bad For Pawan

2016 has proved to be lucky for Mega heroes Allu Arjun, Ram Charan and Allu Sirish.

Sarrainodu

Allu Arjun's collaboration with Boyapati had set tongues wagging in tinsel town. There were several doubts on the film prior to its release. Even a few speculations before the release had it that the film didn't shape up as expected.

The film opened to mixed reviews on April 22nd. But proving the critics wrong, the movie went onto become the industry hit. Due to mass affect, the film didn't meet the expectations in US. Barring this, the film on the whole is a money spinner and raked in huge profits to producer Aravind.

Srirastu Subhamastu

Allu Sirish got the biggest success of his career till date with Srirastu Subhamastu. The family entertainer produced by his papa and directed by Parasuram has received both critical acclaim as well as commercial success. More than profits, the film made Aravind proud.

However, the film was a disappointing in the overseas. Even though re-released in abroad, it didn't give fruitful result.

Dhruva

Ram Charan's Dhruva might be still long way from profits, but it is indeed a satisfactory film for both Aravind and Ram Charan. This is the second film of Charan to enter into 50 Crore club while the first one being Magadheera.

Interestingly, Dhruva happens to be the first film of Ram Charan to touch 1 Million USD (Gross) mark in US. While his peers have achieved this feat in much advance, the mark had been eluding Cherry from longtime. But Dhruva gave a sweet memory to Charan by entering into 1 Million club.

Again, it's produced by mega producer Allu Aravind who is contented with the result.

Chiranjeevi

Mega patriarch Chiru is busy shooting for his landmark 150th film Khaidi No. 150. Chiru had released the first look, teaser and two songs - 'Ammadu', 'Sundari'. While the response is mixed, one has to wait and watch for the film that is slated for Sankranthi release.

Pawan Kalyan

However, it's Pawan Kalyan who left fans in shock, disappointment.  Fans who were expected big on Sardaar Gabbar Singh, turned out to be a dud. Although the film collected decently despite poor reviews, it still incurred losses to its buyers as the film was sold at much higher prices.

Now the actor had muhurat for 3 films. While Katamarayudu (remake of Veeram) is on floors, two others films - one Vedalam remake and other film with Trivikram Srinivas are in pipeline.

Varun Tej

After failure of Loafer, Varun didn't had a release in 2016. As he is busy with the shooting for Mister, he sets his eyes on 2017 hopefully. Will 2017 be lucky for him?

Sai Dharam Tej

2016 is a mixed year for Sai Dharam Tej. While Supreme is an average grosser as it was a close shave for Dil Raju who got bailed out in the last minute, Thikka is a nightmare as that ended as the biggest disaster in his career till date.
