Producing a film has become a herculean task these days. Several big budget films starring top bracket stars are failing even to recover at least 75% of the total expenditures, leave alone profits. Even a mild positive talk is not able to pull a film off the clutches of financial disaster. With the production costs and stars' remunerations rocketing sky high, producers and distributors mostly end up losing big.
The biggest entertainer to kick start this year's summer festivities is Allu Arjun's Son of Satyamurthy, in the direction of Trivikram Srinivas. The film features several top stars and technicians and hence, production costs of the film are estimated upto a whopping 50 crores. Ideally, the film needs to collect anywhere above 50 crores to be termed as a breakeven venture.
As per the buzz among the trade circles, the theatrical rights of Son of Satyamurthy have been sold for around 48 crores and another 9 plus crores for the satellite rights. This boils down to some astronomical figures where anything below 50 crores will be written off as a flop. With Allu Arjun's charisma and Trivikram's magical touch, fans' are expecting a memorable blockbuster this summer. Can Bunny pull off this miracle?
