Allu Arjun is very clear about his priorities. He makes sure that he signs directors with a good track record so that he is already assured of a hit.
Sometimes, despite giving a hit in the past, Bunny still discards a director if hasn’t given a hit in the immediate past.
For example, in the case of Harish Shanker, Bunny refused to do a film with him following the fate of Ramayya Vastavayya. Though Harish had hits like Gabbar Singh and Mirapakaya in his kitty, Bunny did not risk working with a director who had just delivered a flop film.
Now, another director is being put through a similar test. This time, it is the turn of Santosh Srinivas who is now directing NTR Jr’s Rabhasa. Apparently, he had narrated a script with the title Tikkaregite to Bunny which he did like. However, Bunny hasn’t given the green signal as yet to the project. Talk in Film Nagar is he is awaiting the release of Rabhasa before signing the dotted line.
