It was indeed a surprise when director Gunasekhar had revealed of Allu Arjun's presence as Gona Ganna Reddy in his aspirant magnum opus Rudrama Devi. Now, the actor who has only committed to Trivikram Srinivas's project with Samantha except for the former has started working on his appearance in this film whose narrative is essentially driven by Anushka and Rana Daggubati.
Allu Arjun in this historical scripted by Paruchuri Brothers will play the romantic interest of Catherine Tresa besides being a close aide to the lead female character. He has taken special training for this role with regard to martial arts and horse riding. The film meanwhile also has space for actors like Nithya Menon, Krishnam Raju, Hamsa Nandini and Baba Sehgal respectively.
