With his latest film, S/O Satyamurthy, completing the 50 day run at the box-office, Stylish Star Allu Arjun has also bagged a most surprising record. We already reported that S/O Satyamurthy had entered the 50 crore club almost a week ago. With this, Bunny joined none other than the superstar of India, Rajinikanth, with consecutive 50 crore films.
Apparently, Allu Arjun is the only south Indian star to score two back to back films that earned more than 50 crore share. Previously, Rajini earned this feat through his films, Sivaji, Endhiran (Robo) and Lingaa, all released one after the other. On the other hand, Bunny achieved this feat with Race Gurram and S/O Satyamurthy.
Even though top Tamil stars like Vijay (Kaththi) and Vikram (I) have 100 crore films and Telugu stars like Pawan Kalyan (Atharintiki Dharedhi and Gabbar Singh), Mahesh Babu (Dookudu and SVSC) have films that earned more than 50 crore share, no star managed to earn 50 crore in successive releases, except Rajini and Bunny.
Well, Bunny is surely turning out to be a silent killer at the box-office. Will he score a hat-trick 50 crore film with his next in Boyapati's direction and join Rajinikanth?
