Allu Arjun's much talked about film Badrinath is gearing up to release on June 4 th , just a day after Salman Khan-Asin starrer Ready hits screens (June 3 rd ).
Though it will be a great movie weekend for cine fans, the producers of Badrinath are spending sleepless nights thinking about the clash of release dates.
While the Telugu film Badrinath is already in news and generating interest amongst the audience, Salman's Ready too is garnering equal attention. A source pointed out, "Though Badrinath will be in Telugu and Ready will be in Hindi, the fact shouldn't be overlooked that Salman's Ready is a remake of a Telugu blockbuster. Also, it stars Asin who is a popular face for Telugu audience.
"Secondly, Salman has become a big hit in South Indian film markets after his Wanted and Dabangg became a huge hit. While Wanted was a remake of Pokiri made in Tamil and later in Telugu, Dabangg is now being remade in both the languages. Therefore, audience will have a tough call choosing between the two films."
The source also highlighted a silver line. He said that with Badrinath releasing in Tamil and Malayalam too on the same day, the producers shouldn't have trouble recovering the invested money.
One of the costliest films produced by Geetha Arts, Badrinath was earlier slated to release on May 26 th . Now only time will tell if this shift in release date proves to be a boon or bane for the film and for the young star Allu Arjun.
