“With a distributor share of over Rs 50 crore, the film has done phenomenal business at the box office. It is currently at seventh position in the list of top 10 grossing Telugu films,” said trade analyst Trinath.
The film which still holds the number one spot in the highest grossers list is Pawan Kalyan’s Attarintiki Daredi with Rs 75 crores of profit share. While Ram Charan Teja’s Magadheera is the second highest grosser with Rs 73 crores of profit, Pawan Kalyan’s Gabbar Singh takes the third spot with Rs 60 crores of profit.

Previously Bunny's “Race Gurram” also garnered nearly 50 Crore. Currently, Allu Arjun is enjoying his family trip in Europe who completed his dubbing for the forthcoming movie 'Rudhramadevi' in advance.

Following the T-Town trend of Stylish star Allu Arjun, other Tollywood stars are also planning for their summer vacations.

S/O Satyamurthy Box Office Record

Allu Arjun's "S/O Satyamurthy", a family drama, has made it to the prestigious club of all-time top ten grossing Telugu films.

It is for the second time for him in a row after his last release "Race Gurram" was featured in the list too.

"With a distributor share of over Rs. 50 crore, the film has done phenomenal business at the box office. It is currently at seventh position in the list of top ten grossing Telugu films," trade analyst Trinath told IANS.

At fourth position in the list is "Race Gurram", which was the biggest blockbuster of last year, collecting a share of over Rs. 57 crore.

"S/O Satyamurthy", which is directed by Trivikram, has so far grossed over Rs. 80 crore at the box office in three weeks.

The film opened to mixed reviews, earning equal share of brickbat and bouquets from audiences and critics alike. However, the masses lapped it up, especially the family audience.

If the successful run of "S/O Satyamurthy" continues for a couple of more weeks, it might even make it to the top three in the list.

Other films in the list include "Attarintiki Daaredhia, which holds the first position with a whopping distributor share of over Rs. 75 crore. At second position is Ram Charan's "Magadheera" with a share of about Rs. 73 crore, while Pawan Kalyan's "Gabbar Singh" with a share of around Rs. 60 crore holds the third position.

Bunny's Two Back to Back 50 Cr. Films

Stylish Star Allu Arjun has achieved a rare feat.  Two of his movies entered the elite club of Rs.50 crores in a row and they are 'Race Gurram' and 'S/o Satyamurthy'. Let's checkout the details of these movies how they reached the goals.
Having been made with a budget of around Rs.35 crores, 'Race Gurram' collected Rs.59 crores at the end of its full run through its Telugu version world wide. The movie's Malayalam version also fetched Rs.2.25 crores. Since no other movie outranked the collections of 'Race Gurram' last year, the movie was declared 2014's biggest hit in Tollywood. The movie was directed by Surender Reddy. Shruthi Haasan teamed up with Allu Arjun in the movie.
Allu Arjun's latest offing 'S/o Satyamurthy' carried negative reports on the day of its release. Trade also speculated that the movie would become either a Rs.30+ crores or a Rs.40 crores project. Miraculously, the collections of the movie have been rock steady for the past four weeks irrespective of the talk. At the end of its fourth week run, the movie accumulated a share of Rs.49.43 crores world wide. The movie's Malayalam version collected Rs. 1.20 crores share so far. The movie is all set to breach the milestone of Rs.50+ crores share in a day or two. The film, as of now, stands as this year's biggest grosser.  Allu Arjun's performance and dances, Trivikram's pen power and directorial skills made the trick of the movie achieving the targets.

Despite releasing to mixed reviews and average word of mouth, Stylish Star Allu Arjun and Trivikram’s latest offering, S/O Satyamurthy, utilized the summer advantage to the fullest by attracting the family audiences in huge numbers. The film is still doing decent business in select screens across the Telugu states.
As per the trade reports, S/O Satyamurthy is all set to join the much celebrated 50 crore club by tomorrow. This will be Allu Arjun’s second straight 50 crore film, following his blockbuster Race Gurram. Already, the film made a breakeven for distributors in several areas and it will end up as an average fare in a few areas.

S/o Satyamurthy 4 Weeks Collections: All Time Top 7!

S/o Satyamurthy 4 Weeks Collections: All Time Top 7!

S/o Satyamurthy surprised one and all by making it to the All Time Top 7th Position in the list of highest grossers inspite of poor reviews and mixed response from Day 1. Revenues have been decent in 3rd and 4th weeks as well. In 5th Weeks, The family entertainer was able to run in 25 screens in Nizam and 30 theaters in Uttar Andhra. This aren't bad figure at all!

Still, 'S/o Satyamurthy' is Rs 5-6 crore shot of break-even and it could attain a Hit status only if it manages to cross Rs 54 crore in terms of full run share.

S/o Satyamurthy 4 Weeks Collections (Share):

Son of Satyamurthy is Clearly Lucky

Some heroes have luck on their side and mega heroes are definitely among the lucky ones. They take complete care to make sure that their films have a successful run at the box office.
Be it a sensational start or a slow beginning, mega films surely make it to the hit mark depending on the budget. In case of the bigger mega stars, the films more or less reach the Rs 40 crore mark effortlessly.
And the story of S/O Satyamurthy is no different. The theatre rights of the film were sold for Rs 50 crores. On day one, it was widely felt that the film may not chug along beyond a week.
But the timing of the release worked in the film’s favour along with many films getting delayed and smaller films not making any noise worked in complete favour of SOS.
However, it has to be mentioned here that the film is not running with profits as yet. The final figures as of now stand at Rs 35 crores including Andhra and Telangana. Adding all other revenues, it is said that the film has managed to make Rs 43 crores till now.
So at one glance, it appears as if the film has a gross loss of Rs 10 crores. But if you actually look at it, the film had nearly a dozen buyers and if the amount is split then each one will incur a loss of Rs 20 lakhs to Rs 50 lakhs at an average. For a big film and for seasoned buyers, this is no big deal.
SOS was made by a big banner, they will have more big films in future and things will be settled then. So, the buyers are not a worried lot. And if the films lined up for release don’t do the kind of business they are anticipating, then S/O Satyamurthy will be the ‘solo performer’ for the entire season.
