While actor Allu Arjun’s upcoming DJ—Duvvada Jagganadham has been in the news ever since its first look released, work on his next film is progressing quite briskly too. The film which is to be directed by writer Vakkantham Vamsi who’ll be wielding the megaphone for the first time, will have renowned cinematographer Rajeev Ravi on board as the lensman.
Interestingly, Allu Arjun’s Sarrainodu had Rishi Punjabi as the DOP while Ayananka Bose has been roped in for DJ — both notable for their work in Bollywood cinema.
“Rajeev has collaborated extensively with Anurag Kashyap in films like Dev-D, Gangs of Wasseypur and Bombay Velvet alongside a slew of Malayalam films. It was Vamsi’s idea to bring him in and Allu thought it was a good idea too. While Rajeev hasn’t worked in a commercial entertainer of this sort earlier, he seems keen to be a part of the film,” shares a source in the know.
Rumoured to be titled Naa Peru Surya — Na Illu India, the film could have music by the duo Vishal-Shekhar while Atul and Ajay would give the film’s background score.
