Rudhramadevi to Release in December

Director Gunasekhar has completed shooting for his historical period drama Rudhramadevi almost a year-and-a-half after starting it's shoot. Anushka is playing the titular role of 13 century Kakatiya queen Rudrama Devi which also stars Ran Daggubati and Allu Arjun.

"It all began in 2002 when I started doing research about Rudrama Devi. It was only ten years later in 2012 that the production work of the film began. We started shooting for the film in February 2013 so making this film has been a long journey for me. The film will showcase the pride and bravery of the Telugu race. Best technicians from Hollywood have worked on the movie which is set to become the first stereoscopic Indian film to be shot with 3D. I'm sure the film will connect with the audience," says Gunasekhar.

The post production work of the film has just begun. The film features an ensemble cast including the likes of Krishnam Raju, Baba Sehgal, Catherine Tresa, Prakash Raj and Nithya Menen. The film is set for release in December.
