Our heroes know how to please their fans, they are well aware that they need to come up with intricate dance movements, dialogues that will be remembered for a long time and that will deliver the punch and fights that will elevate them to an altogether a different level. They are putting in that extra effort and surprising the audiences. Currently three stars in Tollywood are known for their dances, Charan, Bunny and NTR.
We are constantly comparing ourselves to Bollywood whether it is the story, technique or the budget. The only area where we have crossed them and exceeded many a expectation is dances. Leave Hritik Roshan, Aamir Khan’s focus is more on the content than the commercial angle. We cannot expect great foot work from Shahrukh or Salman Khan either. The scene is different in Tollywood, right from newcomers to established actors everyone puts an effort and the result is out on screen. But the question remains, who’s the best out of the three stars?
Chiranjeevi is the pioneer of dances in Tollywood. None can beat him in grace and technique, he has the extraordinary ability to keep the audiences glued to their seats with his dances alone. We have Venkatesh, Nagarjuna, Balakrishna..they all can dance but anyone comes next and that means after Chiranjeevi. Charan seems to have got that quality in his genes. He showed through Chiruta and Magadheera that he can take over from his father the title of being the best dancing star and the doubts can be cleared after seeing Raccha and Naayak.
Allu Arjun did not get a chance to exhibit his talent in Gangotri but he took very little time to show that he can be the best in Desamuduru, Happy, Bunny and Arya 2. The consistency was visible in Badrinath and Julayi too. NTR is a classical dancer, he learnt it when he was very young, so all kinds of dances come very easily to him. Thanks to hsi combination with choreographer Prem Rakshit, he rocked in various films Yamadonga, Adurs, Kantri. Sources cite Badhshah would be his best.
Pawan Kalyan composed his own dances for some songs in Kushi. He is a natural dancer. Prabhas and Mahesh never showed interest on the aspect, they neglected it. Somehow Prabhas did a good work in Rebel and what can anyone saw at mammoth energy Ram exudes in dances? Bunny, NTR and Charan are forever experimenting and stretching the choreographer’s creative abilities. Finally what we meant to convey is that the efforts of the stars aren’t going vain. Be it the producer or the audience, everyone is having fun, they are all enjoying the stars entertaining them on screen in different ways in different movies.
