Allu Arjun and Devi Sri Prasad combination has set a benchmark with some very good audio albums. Arya, Arya 2 and Bunny audios were big hits in those days. Arya and Arya 2 albums will definitely rank among the best works of DSP. Hence, there are high expectations riding on Julayi audio. With Trivikram, who is known for extracting good music, added to the list the expectations are certainly pretty high.
Did Devi Sri Prasad deliver the goods this time? Is Julayi audio worth the wait? Here is our FIR - First impression Report of Julayi album. Devi Sri Prasad, who is fresh from the super success of Gabbar Singh, seems to have tried something different from his comfort zone. Julayi is not usual package of a duet, a mass number and dance number.
All the songs sound situational and give an impression that they are backed up by good situations. DSP scores energetic item numbers for Bunny, but that is missing in this album. Trivikram is against having so called item songs and mass numbers. Julayi too followed the suit. However, DSP made it up by scoring energetic numbers like Osey Osey and Chakkani Bike.
Title song reminds you of Ek Niranjan title song and the first song in Khaleja. Lyrics are pretty interesting in this song. Pakado Pakado song sounds the weakest on album, but we can be assured of Bunny special dance moves given the energetic beats. Malgadi Subha is back after so long. Mee intiki Mundo Gate... will be liked by the youngsters. Again the lyrics take the cake.
O Madhu Madhu is the best of the lot. A typical Devi Sri Prasad's melody which will definitely grow on you in repeated hearings. On a whole Julayi audio is young at heart and is mainly targeted at the young audience. May not be among the best of DSP, but certainly doesn't fall flat. At least three songs have chartbusting appeal and the count should increase depending upon the result of the movie.
