T-Town Keeps Kriti Busy

Actress Kriti Kharbanda, who made a comeback to T-town with a moderate hit Mr Nookayya and played the only “positive” role in the dark entertainer, describes her 3D Telugu film, OM as a rocking entertainer.

“It will grip the audience since the format and the storyline is exciting,” says the actress whose three films are making waves in Kannada. “I am reprising the role of actress Swati in the Kannda film Adda, the remake of the Tamil hit Subramanyapuram. I was paired opposite the Kannada sta, Prem and have two more Kannada films in hand,” she adds.

The Punjabi kudi could get a grasp of the Kannada language much easier than she could Telugu. “I am going to sign a couple of more Telugu films, so I am brushing up on my Telugu as well,” she says.

Trivikram to redeem himself

Ace director, Trivikram Srinivas, has hit quite a lean patch with duds such as Khaleja and is banking on his next film Julayi to try and put back some green into a desert patch in his career.

The writer-turned-director is known for his comic and racy screenplay and has tasted success with hits like Athadu and Jalsa in past, but lost his midas' touch thereafter.

“He is joining hands with spirited acto, Allu Arjun for the first time and has come up with an exciting script. It will exploit Allu Arjun's lover boy image and with Ileana being a value addition, it should turn out to be a rocking entertainer,” says a member of the crew.

Even Allu Arjun needs a blockbuster after the not-so-impressive Badrinath. So let’s wait and watch if Trivikram can spin some box office magic and reclaim his and Allu’s position in the T-town, where one's career graph is tested every Friday.
