Young T-town stars seem to be raking in the moolah from endorsements.
After Ram Charan Tej’s Rs 2-crore deal with a mobile network, it’s
Allu Arjun’s turn to also sign a Rs 2-crore deal to promote a toothpaste
brand. The company was looking for a “youth icon” to endorse their
brand, so the actor shot the campaign at the end of January.
“He was receiving offers but was looking for a premium brand, and
this one is apt for his energetic personality. More than the money, it
was the spirited concept that attracted him as it connects with the
youth,” says a source close to the star.
After conquering Tamil Nadu with his cola commercial, the T-town star will now be wooing Keralites.
“We declined to promote it in Tamil Nadu so they are looking for
another actor. However, we wanted to tap Bunny’s growing fan base in
Kerala and Bengaluru, so we agreed to those two versions as well,” adds
the source.
The peppy commercial, which harps about the “power of fresh breath”,
will shortly go on air in the three regions. Let’s see how the actor
enhances the sales of the product with his smile.
