Bunny & Naa Peru Surya Team Perform Ayudha pooja in Ooty

Mahanavami falls on the ninth day of Navratri puja that is observed across the country in the month of Ashwin.  This Navratri is the most significant of festivals among all the four Navratris which are Chaitra Navratri, Paush Navratri, Magha Navratri and Sharad Navratri. This year, Navratri started from 21st September and will culminate ahead of Dussehra on 30th September. Mahanavami is celebrated a day before Dussehra. There is a tradition of worships Arms and weapons but now days, the people worship their vehicles and other equipment that are used in their profession.   Stylish star Allu Arjun also followed the same trend and held Ayudha Pooja on the occasion of Maha Navami in Ooty. He shared the pic and captioned it, “Starting our Dussehra with Ayudha Pooja on the sets of NSNI in Ooty.”

Currently the team of upcoming patriotic film Naa Peru Surya Naa Illu India is in Ooty and before starting the shoot, the camera and lighting equipment and all other shooting devices were worshiped on this  occasion.   The film is being helmed by Vakkantham Vami. Action King Arjun Sarja and Sarath Kumar are playing the important role and Bollywood music duo Vishal-Shekhar are on the board to render the tune. Bunny is essaying an army officer and he is going through a special fitness regime to give an authentic look for the role. Anu Emmanuel is playing the female lead. The makers are planning to release the film in April, next year.

Dhruvaraja Jagannadh Mints 1.50 Crore in 3 Days

Dhruvaraja Jagannadh, the Malayalam dubbed version of superstar Allu Arjun's Telugu film Duvvada Jagannadham, has completed its opening weekend on a terrific note. The action-entertainer, which had released across the Kerala on Friday has registered good occupancy over the weekend despite clashing with 5 films including Akshay Kumar's Toilet Ek Prem Katha and Dhanush's VIP 2. Malayalam hit maker B Unnikrishnan distributed Dhruvaraja Jagannadh in Kerala.

On its opening weekend, Dhruvaraja Jagannadh mints Rs. 1.50 crore at the Kerala Box Office, which is huge considering a Malayalam dubbed film. The film had released in 100 + screens and as expected the stardom of Allu Arjun has worked in favour of the film to fetch good opening from first show on wards at the Kerala Box Office. At many places, special fans shows were scheduled from 7.00 AM and the tickets were sold like hot cakes. Going by the opening weekend trends, Dhruvaraja Jagannadh looks like another hit for the Arya actor after Yodhavu, the Malayalam dubbed version of the blockbuster Sarrainodu.

As usual, the Malayalam dubbing for Allu Arjun's voice has been done by Jis Joy, who recently tasted success with his second directorial outing Sunday Holiday. The dialogues of the film have been written by Satheesh Muthukulam, while lyrics by Sujith Tharoor. The editor of Dhruvaraja Jagannadh, Sai Gopal is also the coordinator for the film.

Allu Arjun is considered as one of the biggest non-Malayalam actors in Kerala and interestingly, Malayalam fans fondly calls him as 'Mallu Arjun'.

Bunny to Start Shooting for NPS from Aug 18

'Naa Peru Surya' has finished its first schedule. Very soon the second schedule will commence. News is that Allu Arjun will join the second schedule on the 18th of August. The first schedule has been completed successfully.

Allu Arjun will essay the role of an Army officer in this film. Directed by Vakkantham Vamsi, this film has Anu Emmanuel as its leading lady. Sharath kumar will play an important role and Arjun Sarja will be seen as Allu Arjun's father.

Bunny's Dhruvaraja Jagannadh Starts with a Bang, Opens to Housefull Shows

The Malayalam dubbed version of Allu Arjun's recent Telugu hit Duvvada Jagannadham released today at the Kerala box office. The film titled Dhruvaraja Jagannadh in its Malayalam version has been directed by Harish Shankar and produced by Dil Raju. Dhruvaraja Jagannadh stars Hrithik Roshan's Mohenjo Daro fame Pooja Hegde in the female lead.

Catch had previously reported that the Allu Arjun starrer will be releasing in close to 100 screens and is set to take a big opening at the Kerala box office.

And as expected, Dhruvaraja Jagannadh has opened to housefull occupancy in the morning shows across the Kerala. At several places, the opening shows of the films have been welcomed by huge fans celebrations including bands and kavadi dance. Though the film had clashed with 5 films including Akshay Kumar's Toilet Ek Prem Katha, Dhanush's VIP 2, it has not affected the Allu Arjun starrer as far as opening shows were concerned.

Allu Arjun's previous Malayalam dubbed release, Yodhavu too was a big money spinner at the Kerala box office.

Bunny's Film Grand Release Today

It's a triple dhamaka to the audience of Telugu states with the releases of three crazy projects today. Nithiin's LIE, Rana's Nene Raju Nene Mantri and Boyapati Srinu's Jaya Janaki Nayaka are hitting screens amidst huge expectations. 

While Telugu audience are excited with the releases of above films, Kerala state's Stylish Star Allu Arjun fans have gone jubilant with the release of Allu Arjun's film. Yes, the Stylish Star's latest hit Dj Duvvada Jagannadham's Malayalam dubbed version gears up for release today across Kerala.

Dj was titled as 'Dhruvaraja Jagannadh' in Malayalam version. The movie minted a share of Rs.71+ crores share with its Telugu version and Malayalam version will add a few more crores to the total share of the movie. 

Dj was directed by Harish Shankar on Dil Raju's Sri Venkateswara Creations. Pooja Hegde has romanced Allu Arjun.

Bunny Mobbed in Hampi

Allu Arjun was mobbed in Hampi when he visited the temple town on Friday. Accompanied by his family members, Allu Arjun visited famous Virupaksha Temple and offered special pooja to Virupakshara Swamy. After this, Bunny and family also visited Kamal Mahal, Rathi Radham, Vijaya Vitala temple places. Interestingly, Bunny is surrounded by pilgrims, locals in Hampi wherever he traveled. Many have tried to take pics, selfies with Bunny in the temple town.

Bunny apparently was cool, composed throughout his visit. After offering prayers in Hampi, Allu Arjun and family have left to Hospet where they have booked a hotel.

Allu Arjun is currently working on Naa Peru Surya. The film marking directorial debut of Vakkantham Vamsi has an interesting caption - 'Naa Illu India'. Touted to be a patriotic film, popular Bollywood music duo Vishal-Shekar is going to compose the soundtrack. Post DJ, Bunny's visit to temple has gained significance.

Bunny & Danush Joined August 11th War

Four days in a row will make a long weekend and that is happening this Independence day. As I-Day occurs on Tuesday (Aug 15th), there are four days available for filmmakers to cash on from Friday (August 11th). That's why many films are rushing.

In Telugu we have the likes of Rana's Nene Raju Nene Mantri, Nitin's LIE and Bellamkonda Srinivas' Jaya Janaki Nayak hitting cinemas on August 11th. Joining this bandwagon is Danush, whose VIP 2 is releasing in all languages that day. And this box office war also has Allu Arjun in the race as the Malayalam version of Duvvada Jagannadam is scheduled for a release on 11th. 

While Telugu releases are all carrying super hype, in Bollywood we have only Akshay's Toilet releasing that day while Kollywood has Udayanidhi Stalin's Podhuvaga EmManasu Thangam hitting that day. In Mallu land, it is competition free for DJ on August 11th. 

Bunny Sets a Record with DJ!

In recent times, none of the films have been as in news as Duvvada Jagannadam for all the wrong reasons. The movie director decided to attack all the critics who did not give his movie his desired ratings and there have been many irregularities in the collections reported by various sources too. Finally, the movie collections have been released and we can say that the movie ended up as an Average at the box office as over 80 crores pre-release business, movie managed to collect 71 crores.

So, we can say that in few areas people have seen minimal losses in two Telugu states and in Overseas, distributors reported  huge loss of 7 crores. In any case, a movie's hit or flop status is decided by the collections it generates and the statement of Dil Raju that DJ will be career best for Bunny did not come true. Sarrainodu collected 76 crores at the BO and DJ managed only 71 crores. Still, Sarrainodu remains biggest hit in Bunny's career.

Well, the record is that except for Prabhas no hero in Telugu Cinema managed to enter the 70 crores club twice until Bunny did. Prabhas entered 100 crore club with Baahubali 1 and 2 twice, so he obviously is the only hero to have entered 70, 80, 90 clubs twice and none of the others, including Mahesh Babu, Pawan Kalyan, Ram Charan, Jr. NTR or Chiranjeevi have this record. Now, Allu Arjun with DJ entered 70 crores club again and he is the only actor do so other than Prabhas. Even though it  had incurred losses, DJ ended up being special for Bunny this way!
