YS Jagan Becomes Sarainodu Villain?

INSIDE STORY: YS Jagan becomes Sarainodu villain?

Stylish Star Allu Arjun's Sarainodu is holding up well at the box office even on the week days, thanks to the Summer holidays effect and the no competition at the box office. Interestingly, audience are finding coincidences between Leader of Opposition YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and Sarainodu villain character, Vairam Dhanush.

Aadi Pinnisetty plays the role of Vairam Dhanush who is the son of the state's Chief Minister and he tries to grab some lands from the locals in Khammam for an industry. There are similar allegations on Jagan about misusing his father, Late YSR's power and amassing huge amount of wealth. Audience are sensing the similarity and are seen shouting 'Jagan, Jagan' in theaters.

However the makers of Sarainodu say 'The Characters shown in the film are purely fictional and any resemblance to any living or dead individuals is purely coincidental'. Anyways, Aadi Pinnisetty is getting good applause from audience as well as critics in his first tryst as a baddie for the movie.

Bunny Reveals His Pichchi

Despite mixed talk, stylish star Allu Arjun's Sarainodu is making strong business in week days too. The film has passed the Monday, since collections were rock steady on the day. Yesterday, the production team organized success meet in Hyderabad and most of the core team was present.

"I seriously don't care about results. I want my films to appear prolific. Audience should enjoy watching the grand visuals on big screens. And that is my pichchi," says Allu Arjun.

Allu Aravind disclosed that, he never ever compromised on budget for his production ventures. "We spent Rs 2.62 crores on pub set and it cost around Rs 2 crores for song shoot in Bolivia. It's not just because Bunny is my son, I would have spent same budget on any other hero too."

While speaking at the event, Boyapati affirmed, "I feel every film I do as my first film. I felt the same for Sarainodu and will put same efforts for my future films too."

Sarrainodu Scores in the U.S. & India

Regional films from India continue to perform strongly in the U.S., with Telugu action-romance Sarrainodu as the latest success. Starring Allu Arjun, Aadi Pinisetty, Rakul Preet Singh and Catherine Tresa and directed by Boyapati Srinu, the film raked in $678,000 in three days on 154 screens in the U.S.
Released on 950 screens across Telugu states in India, the film produced by Allu Aravind’s Geetha Arts collected an estimated 28.65 crore ($3.2 million). Across all India the receipts totaled approximately 40 crore ($6 million). That was the biggest opener of Arjun’s career, beatingS/O Satyamuthy and Race Gurran, and the third best debut for a Telugu release this year behind the Pawan Kalyan starrer Sardaar Gabbar Singh and writer-director Sukumar’s Nannaku Prematho.

Tamil star Vijay’s action drama Theri, director Vamsi Paidipally’s Oopiri, a Telugu remake of French blockbuster The Intouchables, and director K. S. Ravindranath’s Telugu action movie Sardaar Gabbar Singh have earned tidy sums in the U.S. and internationally this year. Director Atlee Kumar’s Theri, which stars Vijay in the dual roles of a cop and a doting father, together with Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Mahendran, Amy Jackon and Radikaa, amassed 156.23 crore ($23.5 million) in its first week worldwide and is heading for 200 crore ($30 million).
In Sarrainodu, Arjun (nicknamed Bunny) plays Gana, an army officer and son of chief secretary of the state. Disillusioned, he quits his job then meets and falls in love with the young MP Hansitha Reddy (Catherine Tresa), but she initially rejects him.  The Chief Minister’s son Vairam Dhanush (Aadi Pinisetty) steals land from farmers and sells it to the industrialists by misusing his father’s position. After Vairam kills a friend of Arjun’s father and holds his daughter hostage, Arjun vows revenge.
Critics found the story clichéd but saw plenty to admire in the lead performances. “Bunny is at his energetic best in the film. As always she showed his mettle in dances and fights, shouldered the film totally,” said Filmfare.com’s Mohan Rao.  “Catherine Tresa plays the role of MLA and is more of a glam girl. Aadi Pinisetty deserves a special mention here. He is superb as a baddie and should be commended for attempting such negative role.”

Sarrainodu Surprises Trade

Stylish Star Allu Arjun's massy entertainer Sarrainodu has opened to divide talk on Day 1 and anyone will be surprised to see the movie's collections. Sarrainodu's Day 1 collections are good to strong with minting over 10.9 crores.
Trade analysts predicted that Sarrainodu will drop down from Day 2 itself but the film is steady not only on weekdays but also on working days. It is still finding housefulls in theaters for morning shows which shows that film is going to be a safe venture with the flow maintained atleast for a week.
Holidays season has helped this film a lot in this aspect. Sarrainodu is maintaining good hold in multiplexes while it is super strong in B and C centers. With no notable releases next week apart from Raja Cheyyi Veste, Sarrainodu is going to have a superb first week.

Bunny's Kid Like Demands

Hero Allu Arjun is doing well with "Sarrainodu" despite getting mixed comments and reviews from critics. His mass power is unleashed with this film and Boyapati Sreenu made sure that people of all classes will receive his hero well.
Sharing his thoughts about the film, producer Allu Arvind, has revealed interesting things about his son Bunny. "He (Bunny) is like a kid who cries for chocolates. Even though I say why so much spending for a song, he's like I want that at any cost. Kids don't listen, so is Bunny", said Arvind. For the song "Private Party", we heard that Arvind has spent just 2.65 crores, and much of the cost is spent on the 150+ dancers from Mumbai, which happens to the be request of Bunny.
Seems like every hero is making similar demands and helping in over-shooting of budgets, there by pushing producers into dilemma and distributors into losses.

Sarrainodu Gives Respite to Flop Heroine

Catherine Tresa made debut in Tollywood with Chammak Challo that was released in 2013. Despite starring in some notable films, she failed to score a hit until Sarrainodu.
This is the third film for Catherine in Allu Arjun’s combination. They were seen together in Iddarammayilatho and Rudhramadevi prior to Sarrainodu.
Their first two films were average fare, but Sarrainodu is doing phenomenal business especially in the domestic circuit. The collections of Sarrainodu on Monday were pretty strong and the film took off to a bright start on Tuesday too.
With no big film to release on this Friday, Sarrainodu has high chances to have a firm hold on the box office for at least a week from now.
Sarrainodu has already surpassed the 30 crore mark worldwide (distributor share) in four days and has high chances to enter into the 50 crore club by the end of its second weekend.
Catherine has finally shrugged off the flop heroine tag with Sarrainodu and maybe she could bag few more biggies with this hit to her credit.

Bunny is Thrilled with Sarrainodu’s Success

Allu Arjun’s latest film Sarrainodu is turning out to be a shining example of his star power and how much he has grown over the years. Despite mixed reviews, the film has reportedly grossed more than Rs 50 crores so far and it is still going strong in several areas. Directed by Boyapati Sreenu, the film also has Rakul Preet, Catherine Tresa in lead roles, whereas Aadhi played the negative role.
sarrainoduSpeaking at the film’s success meet last night in Hyderabad, Allu Arjun said, “The first and the best compliment about the film came from Chiranjeevi garu, who said that I did a good job in a mass avatar. He’s always spot on when it comes to judging the mass pulse and it has come true for Sarrainodu as well. Our banner (Geetha Arts) has delivered some of the biggest hits in the careers of several actors like Ram Charan, Pawan Kalyan, Naga Chaitanya and Nani. Now, it’s my turn to bask in the success of Sarrainodu under Geetha Arts banner.” The entire cast and crew, except Thaman, graced the event. Allu Arvind, who was in great mood, said, “We have faith in our product and it’s this faith that has driven us to take risks. With Sarrainodu, it has turned out be all the more true.”
While it remains to be seen what the range of Sarrainodu’s success would be in the next few weeks, there’s no denying that Allu Arjun has already joined the likes of the biggest of stars in South, who consistently set the cash registers ringing.
