Rudhramadevi Release Postponed to October 9

VFX and 3D effects are no child’s play and are very difficult to be pulled off convincingly. Even SS Rajamouli, who created a visually grand film like Baahubali, preferred to keep himself away from 3D. But director Gunasekhar has dared to make a period film in 3D, Rudhramadevi, starring Anushka Shetty, Rana Daggubati and Allu Arjun. 

But the pending 3D work on Rudhramadevi is taking a toll on it, as its release date has been pushed yet again owing to last minute 3D touches. Earlier, the film was all set to release on September 4. But, its release was pushed to September 17, on Ganesh Chaturthi, due pending VFX work. Now, we hear that Rudhramadevi, which is also being in dubbed in Hindi, will not see the light on September 17.

October 9 is the new release date of Anushka Shetty-Rana Daggubati starrer. What’s interesting to see is that Vijay’s Puli, which is of same genre as Rudhramadevi, will hit the screens on October 1, a week before Anushka’s flick hits the screens. Rudhramadevi Release: Gunasekhar Follows SS Rajamouli's Footsteps

The producers of "Rudhramadevi" (also known as "Rudrama Devi" or "Rudramadevi") are following the footsteps of "Baahubali" director SS Rajamouli by dubbing the movie in Hindi and Malayalam and releasing all the four version on the same date.

SS Rajamouli's "Baahubali - the Beginning" has simultaneously been made in Telugu and Tamil. Later, it was dubbed in Hindi and Malayalam and released with the same in name along with its original version on the same date. Both the dubbed versions have received great response at the box office.

The Hindi version of "Baahubali - the Beginning" has done wonders at the Indian and international box office. It has become the first dubbed movie to join the club of Hindi movies that have raked in Rs 100 crore at the domestic box office. It has become the third highest grosser of the 2015 after "Bajrangi Bhaijaan" and "Tanu Weds Manu Returns".

Like "Baahubali", "Rudhramadevi" has also simultaneously been made in Telugu and Tamil. Filmmaker Gunasekhar, who has written, directed and produced the movie, had initially planned to release the film in two languages. But now, he changed his mind after seeing the overwhelming response for the Malayalam and Hindi dubbed versions of the SS Rajamouli directorial.

It has been reported that Gunasekhar has already kick-started the dubbing of "Rudhramadevi" in Hindi and Malayalam. There is huge demand for the theatrical rights of both the versions. The reports suggest that the rights of its Hindi version have been sold to a leading Bollywood distribution house.

Besides posting a couple of posters of the film, Bollywood trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted, "Abhishek Pictures & Reliance to release dubbed Hindi version of #Rudhramadevi. Directed by Gunasekhar. The posters."

It is rumoured that Abhishek Pictures and Reliance have spent around Rs 22 crore on the global distribution rights of the Hindi version of "Rudhramadevi". The experts in the industry say that this is the next biggest price for the Hindi version of a Telugu movie after "Baahubali - the Beginning".

"Rudhramadevi" is based on the life of Rudrama Devi, the 13th-century queen of the Kakatiya dynasty. Anushka Shetty plays the title role, while Rana Daggubati and Allu Arjun have essayed pivotal roles. Made with a budget of Rs 65 crore, the historical 3D movie boasts universal appeal. It has the potential to do superb business that is likely to be at par with the collection of "Baahubali".

Bunny-Boyapati Wrap Up Their First Schedule

123telugu had recently reported that Boyapati Sreenu’s film with Allu Arjun kick started in Hyderabad recently. Latest update is that the unit has wrapped up its first schedule. Some key important scenes were shot during this schedule which involved a heavy duty chase sequence featuring Bunny and villain Aadi Pinisetty.

Sources close to us reveal that Boyapati has designed a superb character for Bunny which will show the stylish star in a angry avatar.

Perfect Title for Bunny's Next!

Stylish Star Allu Arjun's new movie is being canned in a rapid pace. The first schedule of the movie has recently been wrapped up by the production team. The latest we heard is that the makers are contemplating to confirm the title 'Sarainodu' for this movie. As the movie is being made with all the commercial elements such as action, romance and family, also Allu Arjun does not just confine to any particular role and fits the bill merely for all shades of characters, 'Sarainodu' is said to be an apt title for him. 

The director of mass entertainers, Boyapati Srinu helms the movie. He is riding high on the blockbuster results of 'Simha' and 'Legend'. Rakul Preet Singh and Catherine Tresa team up with Allu Arjun in the movie. 

Thaman is composing the music of the film. Mega Producer Allu Aravind is producing the movie on Geetha Arts. The movie is likely to hit the screens on early first half of 2016.

Rudramadevi Vs Bruce Lee Vs Akhil

Stylish Star Allu Arjun is set to clash with his cousin Ram Charan. Yes, if a latest gossip vine is to be believed, Allu Arjun co-starrer Rudramadevi will take on Charan's Bruce Lee. While Bruce Lee is slated for release on October 16th, Rudramadevi arrival is postponed to October 9th from scheduled date of September 17th due to unknown reasons. So, two mega films are gracing theaters just in a gap of week days. If this happens, it will be first clash for mega heroes. Interim, Akhil's debut film Akhil is also set for release during Dasara.

Though Anushka Shetty and Rana Daggubati played lead roles in Rudramadevi, Allu Arjun essayed a brief role as Gona Ganna Reddy is considered to be main lead as he is the sole selling subject in the historical drama. Distributors are risking huge sum, thanks to Allu Arjun's presence in the film. Lately, Reliance Entertainments in association with Abhishek Pictures bought Rudramadevi Hindi rights for a massive Rs 22 crores. Apparently, business for most of the areas has been closed. Still, Rudramadevi release is delayed yet again.

On the other hand, Ram Charan along with his team is fighting hard to release Bruce Lee for Dasara at any cost, even though lot of pending work is left. Touted to be a high octane action entertainer, the Sreenu Vaitla directorial is done with business agreement for most of the areas. The film is expected to hit 100 crores mark, as per trade analysts with the craze surrounding the project. Let's see whether both Rudramadevi and Bruce Lee release for Dasara or one from these postpone to other date to avoid mega clash.

Bunny's Title Goes Waste

Bunny is said to have registered a title Fighter and he is said to be holding on it for quite some time. However, no appropriate script had come his way and the film hasn't happened till now.

Meanwhile, Ram Charan who was on the look-out for a title for his film with Srinu Vaitla considered Fighter, but did not zero in on it after knowing about Bunny's interest.

However, since they could not come up with a better title, Ram Charan changed the title a bit and his film is now called Bruce Lee-The Fighter.

It is said that Allu Arvind who used to handle all mega productions in the past was not aware of the title and since he no longer oversees Ram Charan's films, Charan's team decided on the title after making some change.

Well, it is now obvious that Bunny has missed out on his favourite title as he can no longer use Fighter thanks to Charan's film.

Bunny's Fans Have An Explanation Too

It's being widely spread that Pawan Kalyan's fans are highly disappointed with Allu Arjun clapping for Nagababu's comments during the Megastar Birthday event with fans at Shilpakala Vedika. As the news got engulfed that Pawan fans are unhappy, even Bunny's fans are responding. 

Bunny's fans say that their hero clapped for the way Nagababu has taken class for those wrong-doers. Because if Nagababu didn't scolds those 'Powerstar' shouters, who are disturbing mega events all the time, it's a bad name for Pawan only as to everyone already started to feel why Pawan is not controlling his mob like fans who are creating a hell with their interference. Bunny's claps are not any winning shouts or shrills with tonnes of happiness, but he's just enjoying the way Nagababu has controlled a mob.

"If Pawan fans do feel that scolding a mob also hurts them, then sometimes hurting is also good. Like our Bunny said in S/o Satyamurthy, sometimes losing is good than winning. If Kauravas hadn't won the cards game, then there would have been no Kurukshetra and blood. Pawan's fav Trivikram wrote this dialogue and that's what the need of hour", said a fan of Bunny on social network.

Bunny & Charan Don't Repeat Them

An interesting co-incidence is observed in selection of the cast and crew of Mega power Star Ram Charan and Stylish Star Allu Arjun's movies. As of now, eight movies of Ram Charan have been released and he worked with the directors such as Puri Jagannadh, Rajamouli, Bommarillu Bhaskar, Sampath Nandi, VV Vinayak, Apoorva Lakhia, Vamsi Pydipalli, Krishna Vamsi and Srinu Vaitla (9th film). No  director has been repeated for Ram Charan's films till now. It remains to be seen whether he continues the same formula or does he repeat his directors in future. 

Likewise, Allu Arjun has not repeated his heroines for his projects. As of now, he worked with the heroines like Adithi Agarwal, Anu Mehrta, Gowri Munjal, Genelia, Hansika, Sheela, Poonam Bajwa, Kajal Aggarwal, Bhanu Sri Mehta, Tamannah, Ileana, Amala Paul, Catherine Tresa, Shruthi Haasan, Samantha and Rakul Preet Singh (Boyapati's film). We have to wait and see if Allu Arjun repeats his heroines in future or not. 

The highly anticipated movie of this year, Ram Charan's untitled film's release date has been locked as October 16 while Allu Arjun and Boyapati Srinu's combo movie is on sets. The movie is expected to hit screens early first half of 2016.

Abhishek & Reliance Steps in for Rudramadevi

Gunasekhar directed as well as produced his dream project Rudramadevi made on Rs 45 crores budget. The release woes of the movie are finally coming to end with Abhishek Pictures & Reliance Entertainments making an agreement to acquire Rudramadevi's Hindi worldwide rights. The amount they invested to get the rights is whopping Rs 22 crores which is almost half the film's budget, as per a reliable source. So, a smooth release is expected on September 17th or 25th.

Before roping in Allu Arjun for the role of Gona Ganna Reddy, the main protagonist Anushka was the only crowd puller for the historical film. Rana Daggubati who will be seen in another lead role as Chalukya Veerabhadra was in bad phase before signing the project. Fortunately, Rana co-starrer recent outing Baahubali turned out as an industry hit. Things worked in favor of Gunasekhar until the film's teaser was released few months ago. Expectations were minimized with the low-quality of VFX work in the teaser and no distributor dared to associate with the film.

Highly self-reliant Gunasekhar then worked on graphics along with VFX team. This caused numerous postponements. The film's output is going to be visual feast for movie lovers, informs the source. Gunasekhar is a relaxed man now with freshly generated positive buzz.
