If sources are to be believed, one of the forthcoming films of the 'Ilayathalapathy' will feature top Malayalam star Mohanlal in a key role.

"When Vijay met Mohanlal recently and expressed his wish to work with him, the Mollywood superstar did not have any second thought and immediately gave his nod," sources said.

Vijay's Deepavali release 'Thuppakki' opened big in Kerala last week, almost on par with a much awaited direct Malayalam movie.

Krishna Vamsi Heroine in Bunny-Puri Film

Kerela Hottie Catherine Teresa, who is making her debut in Tollywood with the films Varun Sandesh starrer Chammak Challo and Krishna Vamsi’s Paisa, has got a prestigious offer to act beside one of the most successful lead actors of Telugu. She has roped in Puri Jagannath’s Iddarammayilatho to play one of the female leads and she will be seen romancing Allu Arjun in this romantic entertainer. Amala Paul has been zeroed in as the main heroine.

Earlier, Punjab beauty Tapsee has been considered for the role after Richa Gangopadhyay had stepped out, but finally Catherine has bagged this big-offer replacing the former. Gabbarsingh Producer Ganesh Babu is set to produce this Allu Arjun starrer Iddarammayilatho under his Parameswara Arts Production banner. Director Puri is planning to kickstart the shooting of the movie from December 1 in New Zealand. Devi Sri Prasad has been roped in to compose the tunes.

Devi Sri Prasad has commenced his work for the movie Iddarammayilatho casting Allu Arjun, Amala Paul and Katherine in the lead roles. The music sittings are taking place and DSP along with director Puri Jagannadh are partaking.

The film has been recently launched and DSP has delivered good musical entertainers like Arya, Bunny, Arya 2, Julayi to Allu Arjun and this is their fifth comb film. Puri Jagannadh is wielding the megaphone and the movie is set to be shot in the locales of New Zealand, Australia etc.
