Race GurramSets Box Office on Fire

Race Gurram dream run at the box-office continues even as it entered 4th week of its screening. The film has been doing exceptionally good business at the box-office and Race Gurram has entered into All Time Top 5 grosses in Tollywood.

The hilarious action entertainer directed by Surender Reddy minted Rs. 51.45 crores for three weeks worldwide.

Apart from Julayi, Allu Arjun didn't have any major grosser in his career. However, Race Gurram proved Allu Arjun's stamina at the box-office and he also joined in the list of top 5 grossers.

​Race Gurram in Top 10 Grosses in Tollywood

Allu Arjun's Race Gurram is breaking records and racing ahead to enter the 50 crore club. The film that has been doing exceptionally at the box office is now amongst the top 10 grosses in Tollywood. Race Gurram which also stars Shruti Haasan as the leading lady, is currently placed sixth in the top 10 list, preceded by Attarintiki Daredi, Magadheera, Gabbar Singh, Dookudu and Seethamma Vaakitlo Sirimalle Chettu.

Allu Arjun, who has not had a very good run at the box office so far, is brought tremendous profits to the makers. The film has already made 47 crores! And if the film manages to enter the 50 crore club, it will be a first for Allu Arjun as well as director Surender Reddy.

Scissors Made Race Gurram Win

Director Surendary Reddy tactfully edited out more than 1-hour duration of his film 'Race Gurram' and made it a  slick and hilarious entertainer, to rake in big moolah. 

Initially, director shot lots of comedy and sentimental scenes but at the editing table, realised that length could be a hindrance, cleverly chopped off 60-odd minutes of portions (few portions even with heavy heart) but finally, he could connect with viewers, who are walking out light-hearted and with smile on their faces, thanks to the racy Brahmi's comedy, that covered up few lapses and logic-less scenes in the 2 hr 45 minutes movie. 

Sometimes, last minute decisions, to pay off and Surendar Reddy would be patting himself for his shrewd scisoring skills and ended his flop-run, with a blockbuster?

Allu Arjun’s debut film Gangotri was successful but the actor failed to make an impression with it.

Bunny Wins in the Mega Cousins’ War!

Allu Arjun and Shruti Haasan starrer Race Gurram has achieved it, added another feather to its cap. Race Gurram becomes the biggest hit of the 2014 collecting 48.94. This means it has beaten Ram Charan's Yevadu by a margin (Yevadu raked ibn 48 crores during its entire life time run) and the Race Gurram has still has not finished its full run yet and the collections aforementioned stand good for 18 days in the domestic and overseas box office.

This also has begun a war of Mega cousins at the box office. Ram Charan has another release coming up this year. Govindudu Andari Vaadele is currently in the production stages and the unit is shooting for the film. Bandla Ganesh is the producer and Krishna Vamsi is directing the movie.

Bunny Elbows Out Charan

Apart from drawing 40-crore plus collections, Allu Arjun stumped his kin and star Ram Charan by bagging highest amount for in-film branding for 'Race Gurram'. 

Till date, Charan was holding the record for pocketing Rs.1.5 crore from docomo for his last film "Yevadu" but Allu Arjun scales a new height by bagging Rs. 2 crore from a nutri-lite (an energy drink brand) for Race Gurram and established his popularity even in in-film branding segment. 

Sources claims that Allu Arjun clocked 1.25 crore from a shampoo brand for "Iddarammayilatho" but with Race Gurram, he set a new benchmark in T-town. With Allu Arjun being the flavour of the season, even brands are rushing to his doorstep.
