Dhruvaraja Jagannadh Mints 1.50 Crore in 3 Days

Dhruvaraja Jagannadh, the Malayalam dubbed version of superstar Allu Arjun's Telugu film Duvvada Jagannadham, has completed its opening weekend on a terrific note. The action-entertainer, which had released across the Kerala on Friday has registered good occupancy over the weekend despite clashing with 5 films including Akshay Kumar's Toilet Ek Prem Katha and Dhanush's VIP 2. Malayalam hit maker B Unnikrishnan distributed Dhruvaraja Jagannadh in Kerala.

On its opening weekend, Dhruvaraja Jagannadh mints Rs. 1.50 crore at the Kerala Box Office, which is huge considering a Malayalam dubbed film. The film had released in 100 + screens and as expected the stardom of Allu Arjun has worked in favour of the film to fetch good opening from first show on wards at the Kerala Box Office. At many places, special fans shows were scheduled from 7.00 AM and the tickets were sold like hot cakes. Going by the opening weekend trends, Dhruvaraja Jagannadh looks like another hit for the Arya actor after Yodhavu, the Malayalam dubbed version of the blockbuster Sarrainodu.

As usual, the Malayalam dubbing for Allu Arjun's voice has been done by Jis Joy, who recently tasted success with his second directorial outing Sunday Holiday. The dialogues of the film have been written by Satheesh Muthukulam, while lyrics by Sujith Tharoor. The editor of Dhruvaraja Jagannadh, Sai Gopal is also the coordinator for the film.

Allu Arjun is considered as one of the biggest non-Malayalam actors in Kerala and interestingly, Malayalam fans fondly calls him as 'Mallu Arjun'.

Bunny to Start Shooting for NPS from Aug 18

'Naa Peru Surya' has finished its first schedule. Very soon the second schedule will commence. News is that Allu Arjun will join the second schedule on the 18th of August. The first schedule has been completed successfully.

Allu Arjun will essay the role of an Army officer in this film. Directed by Vakkantham Vamsi, this film has Anu Emmanuel as its leading lady. Sharath kumar will play an important role and Arjun Sarja will be seen as Allu Arjun's father.

Bunny's Dhruvaraja Jagannadh Starts with a Bang, Opens to Housefull Shows

The Malayalam dubbed version of Allu Arjun's recent Telugu hit Duvvada Jagannadham released today at the Kerala box office. The film titled Dhruvaraja Jagannadh in its Malayalam version has been directed by Harish Shankar and produced by Dil Raju. Dhruvaraja Jagannadh stars Hrithik Roshan's Mohenjo Daro fame Pooja Hegde in the female lead.

Catch had previously reported that the Allu Arjun starrer will be releasing in close to 100 screens and is set to take a big opening at the Kerala box office.

And as expected, Dhruvaraja Jagannadh has opened to housefull occupancy in the morning shows across the Kerala. At several places, the opening shows of the films have been welcomed by huge fans celebrations including bands and kavadi dance. Though the film had clashed with 5 films including Akshay Kumar's Toilet Ek Prem Katha, Dhanush's VIP 2, it has not affected the Allu Arjun starrer as far as opening shows were concerned.

Allu Arjun's previous Malayalam dubbed release, Yodhavu too was a big money spinner at the Kerala box office.

Not only Stylish Star Allu Arjun but also his cute kids Ayaan and Arha turned celebs with their images are posted frequently in fb page. Besides, Allu Arjun graced DJ Duvvada Jagannadham event along with his entire family including his wife Sneha and both children.

Meanwhile, Allu Arjun's latest super hit DJ's dubbed version was released yesterday in Kerala and received positive reports from the audience.

Bunny's Film Grand Release Today

Dj was titled as 'Dhruvaraja Jagannadh' in Malayalam version. The movie minted a share of Rs.71+ crores share with its Telugu version and Malayalam version will add a few more crores to the total share of the movie. 

Dj was directed by Harish Shankar on Dil Raju's Sri Venkateswara Creations. Pooja Hegde has romanced Allu Arjun.

Bunny Mobbed in Hampi

Allu Arjun was mobbed in Hampi when he visited the temple town on Friday. Accompanied by his family members, Allu Arjun visited famous Virupaksha Temple and offered special pooja to Virupakshara Swamy. After this, Bunny and family also visited Kamal Mahal, Rathi Radham, Vijaya Vitala temple places. Interestingly, Bunny is surrounded by pilgrims, locals in Hampi wherever he traveled. Many have tried to take pics, selfies with Bunny in the temple town.

Bunny apparently was cool, composed throughout his visit. After offering prayers in Hampi, Allu Arjun and family have left to Hospet where they have booked a hotel.

Allu Arjun is currently working on Naa Peru Surya. The film marking directorial debut of Vakkantham Vamsi has an interesting caption - 'Naa Illu India'. Touted to be a patriotic film, popular Bollywood music duo Vishal-Shekar is going to compose the soundtrack. Post DJ, Bunny's visit to temple has gained significance.

Bunny & Danush Joined August 11th War

Four days in a row will make a long weekend and that is happening this Independence day. As I-Day occurs on Tuesday (Aug 15th), there are four days available for filmmakers to cash on from Friday (August 11th). That's why many films are rushing.

In Telugu we have the likes of Rana's Nene Raju Nene Mantri, Nitin's LIE and Bellamkonda Srinivas' Jaya Janaki Nayak hitting cinemas on August 11th. Joining this bandwagon is Danush, whose VIP 2 is releasing in all languages that day. And this box office war also has Allu Arjun in the race as the Malayalam version of Duvvada Jagannadam is scheduled for a release on 11th. 

While Telugu releases are all carrying super hype, in Bollywood we have only Akshay's Toilet releasing that day while Kollywood has Udayanidhi Stalin's Podhuvaga EmManasu Thangam hitting that day. In Mallu land, it is competition free for DJ on August 11th. 

Bunny Sets a Record with DJ!

In recent times, none of the films have been as in news as Duvvada Jagannadam for all the wrong reasons. The movie director decided to attack all the critics who did not give his movie his desired ratings and there have been many irregularities in the collections reported by various sources too. Finally, the movie collections have been released and we can say that the movie ended up as an Average at the box office as over 80 crores pre-release business, movie managed to collect 71 crores.

So, we can say that in few areas people have seen minimal losses in two Telugu states and in Overseas, distributors reported  huge loss of 7 crores. In any case, a movie's hit or flop status is decided by the collections it generates and the statement of Dil Raju that DJ will be career best for Bunny did not come true. Sarrainodu collected 76 crores at the BO and DJ managed only 71 crores. Still, Sarrainodu remains biggest hit in Bunny's career.

Well, the record is that except for Prabhas no hero in Telugu Cinema managed to enter the 70 crores club twice until Bunny did. Prabhas entered 100 crore club with Baahubali 1 and 2 twice, so he obviously is the only hero to have entered 70, 80, 90 clubs twice and none of the others, including Mahesh Babu, Pawan Kalyan, Ram Charan, Jr. NTR or Chiranjeevi have this record. Now, Allu Arjun with DJ entered 70 crores club again and he is the only actor do so other than Prabhas. Even though it  had incurred losses, DJ ended up being special for Bunny this way! 

Naa Peru Surya to Release on This Date

Tollywood star Allu Arjun’s upcoming film Naa Peru Surya went on the floors in Hyderabad on Wednesday. Allu, who will be playing the titular role in the film, will be joining the sets soon.

The upcoming action-entertainer will also mark writer Vakkantham Vamsi’s directoral debut. “We have successfully started the shooting of the film. Allu will be joining us very soon. And we will be coming out with a good film,” the director said from the sets of Naa Peru Surya.

The filmmakers, meanwhile, has also officially announced the release date of the film. The Allu-starrer will be hitting the screens worldwide on April 27, 2018.

Vamsi’s directorial outing is said to be a patriotic drama. The filmmakers are planning to shoot a massive battle sequence for the film set in the backdrop of a war.

Allu will also be sporting a ripped physique in the film. “He leaves to the US this weekend. He will work closely with a trainer for month-long to achieve the desired body for the role. As a military officer, he is expected to look a certain way and be extremely fit,” a source close to the film unit said earlier.

Actress Anu Emmanuel has been roped in as the female lead. While Action King Arjun is said to be playing Allu’s father, Sarathkumar will be seen as the main antagonist.

The film will have music by Vishal-Sekhar duo and is bankrolled by Lagadapati Sridhar and Sirisha under Ramalakshmi Cine Creations.  After completing this film, Allu will start work on his debut Tamil movie with director Lingusamy.

Bunny Starting Shoot Half Heartedly?

From today, the shooting of Allu Arjun's latest movie "Na Peru Surya" is kicking off in Hyderabad as writer Vakkantam Vamsi is gearing up to hold the mike for the first time as a director. Though this film is going on to sets today, our mega hero is said to be starting it only half heartedly and he will be happy with the second schedule. There is a reason behind this.

Other than changing hair styles, even Allu Arjun also hasn't done anything physically to his body or changed his avatar drastically for his recent films. But in the coming days, we have films like Jai Lava Kusa and Rangasthalam 1985 that are portraying the lead heroes in a different look altogether. Jr NTR is using even prosthetic makeup to look different for one of the roles, while Ram Charan changed his body language and look completely for Sukumar's movie. Looking at the way these two transformed themselves, it's heard that Allu Arjun felt he is inching behind. 

A rumour mill suggested that this talented hero is starting the shoot today half-heartedly only for the fact that dates of other actors will be wasted. Actually, he wanted to kick-start the shoot only after modifying his body to a new look under the guidance of USA based trainer. While Arvind was the one who got this USA plan foiled as he felt like bringing the trainer here is the best way to do, now Arjun might take a month or more to fully alter his looks. But before that, his director want to finish some scenes. 

Putting emphasis on physical looks for each film is what people like Amir Khan are doing from a time and impressing audiences. Glad to see Tollywood going that way. 

Naa Peru Surya Goes on Floors in Hyderabad

Actor Allu Arjun‘s upcoming Telugu actioner “Naa Peru Surya“, in which he plays a military officer, started rolling from Wednesday. According to a source from the film’s unit, the principal shooting has begun in Hyderabad. The film marks the first-time collaboration of Arjun and Vakkantham Vamsi, who is making his directorial debut.

Vamsi is known for his writing contribution to hit Telugu projects such as “Kick” and “Temper”. Arjun is currently undergoing month-long training with a US-based trainer to authentically look and play a military officer. “He will work closely with a trainer to achieve the desired body for the role. As a military officer, he is expected to look a certain way and be extremely fit,” a source close to Arjun had told IANS.

In Telugu filmdom, Arjun is believed to be the first actor to sport six-pack abs. The source clarified he won’t have six-pack abs this time.”He is not working towards six-pack abs. The director wants him to look as fit as possible to able to do justice to the role,” he said.

Bollywood composers Vishal-Shekhar will work on the tunes, while popular cinematographer-filmmaker Rajeev Ravi will crank the camera for the project.Tipped to be a patriotic-action film, it will be produced by Sirisha Lagadapati Sridhar and presented by Nagababu. The film also stars Anu Emmanuel, Arjun Sarja and Sarath Kumar.

Naa Peru Surya: Special Snippet to Come Out on Independence Day

Stylish Star Allu Arjun, last seen in recently released Duvvada Jagannadham, has begun shooting for his upcoming film titled Naa Peru Surya. The film is being directed by noted writer Vakkantham Vamsi who is turning to direction with Naa Peru Surya. Starring Anu Emmanuel in the female lead role, Naa Peru Surya will have Allu Arjun playing the role of an armed officer for which the actor has been training hard for the last few days to get into shape.
The shooting began on Wednesday in Hyderabad at a popular studio in Hyderabad and the makers broadcasted the proceedings LIVE on their social networking page much to joy of the fans of Allu Arjun. Naa Peru Surya was launched officially couple of days before the release of Allu Arjun’s latest release Dubvvada Jagannadham. The film is slated to be released in April 2018 making it a summer special for the fans of Allu Arjun, announced the makers during the LIVE broadcast.

Bunny's Picture with Daughter Goes Viral

Telugu star Allu Arjun on Monday shared a picture with his daughter Arha, whom he described as the angel of his life, on Twitter and within minutes, the picture went viral with over thousand retweets.

"Me and my little angel Allu Arha. Pic a boo," Arjun tweeted along with the picture.

Arjun is married to Sneha Reddy, and the couple also has a son named Ayaan.

While Ayaan is 3-year-old, Arha was born last November.

On the career front, Arjun is gearing up to start shooting for his next Telugu outing, "Naa Peru Surya".

In the film, he plays a military officer and he is currently undergoing a physical makeover to essay the role.
