Finally it is been confirmed that Vijay will be present at the Pooja event of the much awaited Samrajyam 2: Son of Alexander film pooja event. Chakri to Score Tunes for Bunny-Puri Jagan Film

Way2movies has earlier informed that dashing director Puri Jagannadh and Stylish Star Allu Arjun are once again teaming up for a new film after their blockbuster hit Desamuduru.

The film is currently in pre-production works and the latest buzz is Iddaru Ammayilu is the title under consideration for the film while Shruti Haasan and Tapsee might play the leading ladies.

Ganesh Babu will be producing the movie under his Parameswara Arts banner and Chakri is roped in to score the music for the film. Incidentally, Chakri is the music director for Allu Arjun, Puri Jagan earlier combo Desamuduru. The film is set for a launch on September 20. Other details of the film are awaited.

Puri Jagannadh's Film Back on Track

After postponing the release of his film Devudu Chesina Manushulu twice already to avoid his movie clashing with other releases, director Puri Jagannath has finally zeroed in on a date — August 15. "The movie had to be postponed because of other movie releases. Now, I'm excited that my film will finally release. Compared to my earlier films, I have given a very novel treatment to this film," says Puri Jagannadh. Ileana D'Cruz is playing the female lead opposite Ravi Teja in the film. All praises for Ileana's role in the movie, Puri adds, 'She's not only looking very good, but has done a great job." For the actress, this is a testing time as she is coming back with a Telugu film after a whole year. Her last two films didn't fare well at the box office and Ileana hopes to make a comeback with this film. According to a source, the couple will witness the opening ceremony of the Olympics on July 27, along with other Bollywood personalities. Meanwhile, there is talk that the actor is also planning to undergo treatment for a spine injury during the trip. Denying this rumour, the actor’s manager clarified that the couple is expected to be back in Hyderabad on August 3.

Allu Arvind Praises the Promo Song of 'Julayi'

Allu Aravind appreciated the innovative Trivikram for conceiving the song. He also patted on DSP's back and said that he was jealous of Arjun. "I have known Devi since he was a child. His father and I were good friends. I was bowled over when I heard a 9-songs album made by him long ago."

The 'Julayi' promotional song featuring Arjun and DSP was planned carefully by the makers. It was Trivikram's idea to go for this song. It was released yesterday. Speaking about the number, the director said, "Pattuko is a very important word in everyday lingo. When I shared the idea with Devi, he composed a tune anon. Despite being so busy, he cooperated for featuring in the song. I thank the entire team who have worked for the promo."

DSP was initially apprehensive about his ability. "If I could do it, it is only because of the inspiration given by Arjun. It is because of my friendship with him that I could do it. I hope that this sweet memory song will serve as an example."

Arjun said, "Conceiving an idea is not the big thing. Realizing it is important. It is not possible to do such things without the support of the producers."

DVV Danaiah said that the film will be released on Aug 9.

'Samrajyam 2' Makers Yet to Finalise the Lead Actor

As the hype to who is starring as the lead in Son of Alexander builds, we had earlier reported that Prithviraj is the frontrunner to star in the sequel to Mammootty's Samrajyam. Now, its producer Ajmal Hassan says, "We're in talks with several actors including Prithviraj. But the dates are the biggest problem. We haven't finalised on anything."

The producer says that director Perarusu's team is trying to vie in Arya, Dulquar Salmaan, Vijay and even Allu Arjun for the role. "We're in talks with all these stars and we will officially announce once the agreement is signed with whoever is willing to take the role. Rumours of one actor already being signed will only force the others to take a backseat so we want the media to restrain themselves," he says.

While the space of the lead actor is yet to be filled in, the latest addition to the crew is cinematographer Shekhar V Joseph of Rajinikanth's Chandramukhi fame. Guess the filmmakers are planning to come out all guns blazing for this sequel!

Cine actor Allu Arjun had a darshan of Lord Venkateshwara here on Saturday morning.

Arjun and his family members reached Tirumala on Friday night and stayed in the Pandava Guest House. They had darshan of the Lord during the ‘Naivedyam’ break on Saturday morning and deposited their offerings in the Hndi.

Julayi Not Insecure

Allu Arjun and Ileana-starrer, Julayi, was supposed to release on Friday, the 13th. But the film’s release was pushed back to August at the eleventh hour.

The speculation was that the makers of Julayi did this because of the roaring success of Eega. But, the real reason is that Allu Arvind, father of the film’s hero, has asked director Trivikram Srinivas to reshoot some key portions.

Arvind wasn’t happy with the parts where Arjun’s grey character undergoes redemption and felt that more needs to be done to justify the protagonist’s transition. Allu Arjun and a few others will now shoot for another 3-4 days.

There are also reports that an item song might be added to add some glam quotient to this action adventure. However, a source close to Arjun denied these reports.

“We had finished the shooting of the promotional song with Allu Arjun and Devi sri prasad more than a week ago and the film is ready for release. We do not have enough patch work, so were is question of re-shooting. And also these rumours about adding an item song are baseless. Our film doesn’t need an item number,” the source said.

Maybe, Arvind just wants to be doubly sure about the success of his son’s film.

'Julayi' Team Get Candid on Campus

Fans of Allu Arjun were excited for a while as the actor shot for a song at a college campus in old city for his upcoming movies 'Julayi' recently.

Spotted at the Khurshid Jha Devdi College for Women, near Charminar, the team included director Trivikram Srinivas, music director Devi Sri Prasad and the actor himself. The song 'Pakado Pakado', which was being filmed as a promotional song, will not feature in the movie.

Speaking about the shooting, the actor said, “It’s a mass song that I’m doing. Almost like an item number except that I’m in it. The film actually doesn’t have an item number, so my fans should enjoy this, especially since DSP is also there in it.”

The movie which deals with a young happy-go-lucky chap who learns to be responsible was written and directed by Trivikram Srinivas, who earlier delivered hits like 'Manmadhadu' (story and dialogues), 'Nuvve Nuvve', 'Athadu' and 'Jalsa'. Having transitioned from a script-writer to a director, the director chuckled when asked if he felt that the final cut of the movie was what he thought it would be. “There will always be a certain amount of dissatisfaction. It is very difficult to transform a movie from its script to the reel. But overall, I am happy about how the movie came about.”

The director who is also known for his dialogues, which are always laden heavy with religious sentiments, does not profess to being religious. “I believe in what works,” he quite stated on the contrary.

Bunny's New Movie is Iddaru Ammayilu?

It is already known that stylish star Allu Arjun's next movie would be under the direction of Puri Jagannath. And the fresh buzz to hit the tinsel town is that the makers are considering the title " Iddaru Ammayilu" for the film.

Apparently, Puri is planning to rope in two heroines opposite Allu Arjun for his new movie and as such, the makers are planning to finalize a heroine-centric title. Also, this would be the first time Allu Arjun romancing with two heroines since all his earlier films have only one female lead. Film nagar sources say that Shruti Hassan is likely to play one of the female leads, although not confirmed.

Bunny's Julayi Release Date is August 9

The makers of Julayi have come up with a fresh release date - August 9. After the film's release has been postponed from July 13, it's being buzzed that the film will be slated for release the next week. However, fresh statement by the production house says that the film is hitting the screens on August 9.

As expected, Julayi is having a wide release in AP, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Kerala in around 1600 screens. The film is being dubbed in Malayalam as "Gaja Pokkiri". Again, the Allu Arjun-starrer's release clashes with Devudu Chesina Manushulu, which is releasing on August 8. Now, one of the two films has to be pushed further back.

The film is sandwiched between Devudu Chesina Manushulu (Aug 8) and Andala Rakshasi (Aug 10).

In the UK, the BBC Asian Network radio station officially playlisted the track "O Madhu" on June 22, 2012. The track became the first Telugu language song to ever be playlisted by the BBC in the station's history.

The shooting of this song is currently being shot on Allu Arjun and Devi Sri Prasad in Old City. Julayi’s Release Date Postponed

Fans of Allu Arjun, Ileanaand Trivikram Srinivas will have to wait little longer to watch the trio’s upcoming film Julayi on big screen. The film was supposed to release on July 13; however, in a sudden turn of events, the film has been officially postponed to a later date.

N Radhakrishna, who’s producing the film, is expected to announce the release date tomorrow. Till recently, the makers were confident that the film will hit the screens as per the schedule;

however, the film has not been censored yet. Besides, Allu Arjun and DSP recently wrapped up shooting for a promotional song for the film which means that the producer needs at least a week more to promote the film on a full scale.

Rumours are abuzz that the massive buzz surrounding S S Rajamouli’s Eega might have made an impact on Julayi’s opening collections which in turn led to this decision by the producer. Devi Sri Prasad has composed the music for this romantic and action entertainer.

Amidst speculations that it won't hit the screens on July 13 due to Rajamouli's 'Eega' which is releasing this Friday, the team of 'Julai' comprising actor Allu Arjun, composer Devi Sri Prasad, writer-turned-director Trivikram Srinivas and producers Danayaa and Radha Krishna have confirmed that the film will indeed hit the screens a weak after 'Eega' releases, i.e. July 13.

The unit held a press conference in Old City, Hyderabad where a promotional song Pakado pakado was being canned on Allu Arjun.

'Youth who roam without any work are usually termed Julai and I took it as a title since it applies to the character of Bunny (Allu Arjun) in the film. I've explored whatever he hadn't done till now as an actor,' said Trivikram.

'After going through the dialogues of the film, I suddenly realised that this is a new Trivikram. With 'Julai', he'll again turn out to be a trend setter with regards to dialogues since every other person of late is imitating his dialogues.

Usually I finalise a script before going ahead with a project but with 'Julai', I made sure that I work with Trivikram before the script work began,' said Allu Arjun.

Said composer Devi Sri Prasad, 'I've already watched the film. Bunny will be seen in a different dimension. My albums with him in the past proved to be fruitful and 'Julai' too followed the suit. I am quite upbeat about its prospects at the box-office.'

There is a Good Comedian in Bunny: Trivikram

In Athadu, Mahesh Babu did not do any comedy himself. Jalsa was different in that Trivikram made plenty use of Pawan's comic timing. Pawan's chemistry with Brahmi and with Prakash Raj worked well, though the film itself was not universally liked by all. Khaleja was a bit nightmarish for Tri because neither did the audience laugh at Mahesh's verbose style nor did the producer laugh his way to the bank.

Two years later, our celebrated dialogue writer is back with a genre he is best known for. "There is a good comedian in Allu Arjun. You will see him in a never-seen-before role," the writer-director says. Illeana's performance will be another highlight.
